We have the toughest opening schedule in the NBA. Probably one of the toughest in many years. We start out 3-1, losing to a title contender on their home floor in a well fought game, yet, the doomsayers are wetting their panties. Here we go again. Jeez, give the guys a chance. We have a new coach with a new system, our bench has been completely re-tooled, but we are still 3-1 and have beaten Utah on the road, for heaven's sake!

Oh, and by the way, all this hooey about beating the elite teams in the regular season is just that. Last year's champions against Dallas:

    W 97-91 in Dallas
    L 92-95 in SA
    L 85-90 in Dallas
    L 86-91 in SA

You might also remember that San Antonio owned us the year David Robinson got his MVP, until playoff time.

Give the Steve Francis/RA debate a rest. Give Scola a chance. And give me a break!

By my count I have the "Panic!" threads trailing 4-2 to the "Everybody stop panicking!" threads... though it's still early.

Isn't it ironic that the guy posting this thread right after our game w/ the Mavs has "terry" within his handle?

Rockets must win opportunities need to Frances
(I come from China, my English well, but I also wish to express my views, the following is the use of machine translation, it is inevitable that some mistakes, please forgive friends.)
Look at the Rockets game to the Mavericks, losers in the last few minutes, some regrettable. Looking back on the non - Han nationalities game. Also last few minutes consecutive errors. Almost failure. The goal is a championship team, and has always been crucial moment. Impossible to control the situation, certainly not. Rockets must solve this problem.
Analysis of the causes of the problems, that is a major in Alston. For Adelman system, Alston is the most matching candidates. But in the final moments, the team will no longer be determined by the outcome Adelman system or other system, but rely on the player's personal capacity. Desperate defense in the face of excessive ball can only cause unnecessary mistakes. The holding capacity of poor players will become lambs to be slaughtered.
This time, the players start to rely on instinct. It is precisely this moment, the achievements of the great Michael Jordan, Miller extraordinary, magical McGrady, Bryant luminescence. But the Rockets the ball to Alston, he lacks the ability to fight on their own, nor the physical advantages of forming self-confidence.
To understand this point, Adelman should be in the final crucial moment, let Frances to fight. Although the game can give Alstom's playing time as much as possible, so as to obtain the entire field advantage, but the crucial moment, we should Frances.
Frances and rocket many fate. He is drawn to help the Rockets first draft pick, Yao Ming coming election. Also he has earned with McGrady. To outstanding and the feelings of a possible championship rings, Frances has returned to the rocket, if God has brought Frances rocket, then he will take the hand of Frances gave the Rockets a championship? Hope this legend occurred. If coaches only let him sit on the bench, it seems that this championship will not come. Because such a champion on the inaptly named Frances, a boss is the heart of the heart from the recent championship, Frances should not be ignored!

I thought we played extremely well against Dallas. This was the first time in several years playing them that I thought to myself "we do not looked outmatched."

It is a long season and I feel once to groove is acheived, we will be a very dominant force. Dallas has been playing in the same system with essentially the same people for a long time now. They know what to do in their offense while I don't think we have reached the potential of ours at all.

That is a great analysis. Couldn't have said it better myself. With the exception of the whole I can write in English part.

    Good post.

lol. I'll take our start with our given schedule 10 out of 10 times. The only concern I do have is the manner in which we lost the game. Stupid turnovers and bad defense. All in All, I was pleased with the 44 minute effort prior to the meltdown. Regular season is no measuring stick IMO. It's just a race for HCA and a chance for teams to build chemistry. This teams talent alone should get it through this first difficult stretch of games.

Mavs are a jumpshooting team anyway. When the pressure cooker is on jumpshooting teams always choke. Its too hard.

Who is the other loss going to be to? We will probably do something like lose to Charlotte or something.
