Rafer was out there because Mike James turned the ball over on consecutive plays late in the 4th. Mavs scored on both turnovers. Game over.

Do not remind me about the refs. They were awful. They mad awful calls. Just sick.

    They helped them a lot.

    Good read. Thanks pryuen.

One of the bright spots is Head's all-around offensive game. Four games into the season, Head doesn't appear to be a one-dimensional player relying exclusively on his 3-point shot any more.

I have to point out that the refs also made some questionable calls against the Mavs. However, those occurred much earlier in the game and had far less impact on the outcome than the bad calls against the Rockets. I think the refs were making up calls to make themselves look impartial. That, unfortunately, is a very bad practice that further jeopardizes the integrity of the game and therefore should be discouraged, if not disallowed.

    No...

I'd say it was Jason Terry...

That guy single-handedly destroyed us... Again!...

When are people going to learn that you can't leave that guy open anywhere??...

I don't understand how people can put blame on the refs. Middle of the 3rd quarter, both Dirk and Josh Howard had to sit because of foul trouble. Instead of taking advantage of this opportunity, we let Jason Terry turn into Jordan. This team is just mentally weak, especially down the stretch of close games..Eerily reminiescent of last year...

No it was not the refs. The refs were GREAT for the Rockets this game. They took Dirk and Josh out of the game for extended period of time. There wasn't a call that made me fume last night. The trully controversial calls went the Rocket's way, Bonzi's 3 point play that was a charge, Dirk's 3rd and 4 th fouls that were very borderlined etc.

It was not the refs last night at all.

We lost because we didn't play team basketball, and shot poorly as a team: TMac went 12 for 31, Rafer, Shane, Mike, Wells....

Please, let's not be a bunch of p*****s like jazz fans who blame every loss on the refs.

We got beat because we got outplayed in the 4th quarter. It happens to every team. We weren't going to go 82-0.

Rockets got plenty of favorable calls in first 3 quarters, so don't blame refs for that.

Before reading the thread, the first 3 plays that popped in my head were the supposed loose ball "fouls" on Chuck against Stackhouse and Yao against Howard and also the one on Shane against Terry on the fast break... I wanted them to show the replays on tv to get a closer look at the play, but they didn't on those loose ball fouls... I don't recall if they did on Shane's foul. I also find it hard to believe that Diop had zero fouls the whole game. Those were definately momentum changing moments. Right now, we're not good enough to overcome calls like that, but hopefully later down the road we can. At least it wasn't someone blatantly stealing the ball from out of bounds. Neither team looked particularly sharp, but hopefully we'll get 'em next time!

Na, LA game was the worst, we did not lost this game because refs.

BTW. This is the first time I have seen Dirk get call for so many faouls and traveling calls in a game vs Houston, he always get away with a lot. Howard got in foul trouble too. To bad Terry didnt have foul problems he was the dam key of Houston lost, plus some key lete in the game T.O.

Exactly, the loss was a result of poor execution and turnovers in the forth. Didn't help that we left Terry open even after he got hot.
