The mighty mighty H-Town Jukes, the hottest old-school blues band in H-Town, will be playing both Friday and Saturday nights this weekend (November 9th & 10th) at Scooters Ice House in Pearland. No cover charge...tips for the band are appreciated. Scooters is located at 1134 N. Main Street, just south of the Beltway, and their phone number is 281-485-6124. Last time we played there, the ultra-famous BBS poster known as Rockets Judoka (also known as Sishir Chang) was in town, and he came out, played some pool, drank some brewskis, and got his blues groove on with the Jukes, so if we are funky enough for that bad mammajamma, we're funky enough for you!! Showtime both nights is approximately 9:00 PM and we'll be playing until the cows come home. I don't know. I know you played there once before and I really wanted to go (I live less-than-a-mile away) but I didn't get to go and told myself I'd go the next time you played there (which, now appears to be never).
I've heard they stopped booking bands there, although they do have an open mike night during the week (Tuesday I believe). It's too bad because it was a fun place to play.
