Of course you don't understand. You aren't at scrimmages or practice. Neither am I, but I'm going to assume that Francis looks really bad as opposed to assuming that Rick Adelman is really stupid.
Hmm, personally I thought it had more to do with our "scoring PG" shooting 4-13 and 0-5 from 3. Or maybe Bonzi shooting 1-7 and Scola getting zero rebounds? I know Rafer is the forum favorite scape goat, but acting like he is the main reason we lost is both predictable and inaccurate. I mean we were ahead by one when Rafer went out of the game for James with 3:19 left in the 3rd. When Rafer re-entered the game for Scola with 2:55 left in the 4th the score was 92-101 which ended up being the final margin.
I still think James should have been brought in for defensive purposes if anything and not let Terry get off like he always does against us.Adelman left Rafer in tooo long at the start of the third.
We were up 1 when Rafer went out at the end of the 3rd for Mike James. Terry proceeded to score 14 points while Rafer was on the bench. We were down 9 by the time Rafer came back in the game with less than 3 minutes to go. On top of that James shot worse than Rafer did tonight. Everyone on the team shares some of the blame for losing, but some of you are so focused on Rafer's mistakes that you are blind to the performance of the rest of the team.
HOW CAN FRANCIS GET IN SHAPE IF HE DOESN'T PLAY I WOULDN'T WANT HIM TO GET HURT TRYING TO HARD IN PRACTICE PLUS HOW DO WE KNOW HE'S NOT IN SHAPE WE DON'T SEE HIM PRACTICING
We can only hope Rafer is gone sooner than later - the Rockets as a whole will be better off without him.
And he still is our best penetrator and can still draw fouls. Just from watching the preseason, you can see Francis can still get to the basket, score, dish or draw the foul. I'm not saying start him but in the past, he's proven to step up late in games.
man people put so much pressure on skip it's almost like people want him to fail imo i like the whole ying and yang thing where rafer set's up the offense and mike comes in and shoots lights out
Team loss today. Not Rafers' fault Mike James took decent shots, just missed them. Team defense wasnt that good, Dallas was just better tonight. I'll say it again: It was obvious they were trying to replace Rafer, so WHY the change of direction and ending up keeping him? Either there were no takers for Rafer, they just brought in competition to "push" Rafer (puh-lease), or they really just wanted to look through 7 guards on the roster for the best one.
bingo. MJ had one good shooting game his fans were touting the board. Imagine he started today, he would 've have gone something like 6/19. I hope by now fans could see both MJ and Rafer as what they are. no more, no less.
Yeah, after a decent preseason everyone (or at least the most vocal) had totally forgotten how much Raefer sucks and were slammin Mike James and SF as Raefer was 'our only true pg' and 'he's the only one that can run the floor' blah blah blah... As I've said repeatedly, Raefer cant freakin shoot a lick, and is not a viable 3rd option. James might have a few too many low % shooting nights - but at least he can create his own shot! I wish folks would quit hatin on SF until he at least gets some freakin minutes on the floor! I hate to giveaway a 1st round pick, but to get out from under Raefers contract - that's what it's gonna take. We need to bite the bullet, lose Raefer, give up a future draft pick, let MJ and SF hold down pg position and look for a better option next year. Until then, I think MJ and SF have enough experience to do the job adequately.
And that's the reason why he's still here. That and his off-season extracurricular activities have made his trade value = zero.
I agree with rafer homer too, Mike James was the reason we lost. 2 bad passes at the end. Well, him and Jason freaken Terry. Rafer knocked down some big shots even though, he was off dibbling the ball for 15 seconds.
