Our three guys off the bench, Scola, James, Wells were horrible, and Terry was his usual rocket killing self, there's the game.

The way Yao moved tonight, that 2nd repost will come with about 5 seconds left on the clock. He's still a clutz at times also, it's been the story of his career. I'll live with a bad T-Mac shooting night, he still is option 1A on this offense.

Hopefully we actually try to re-post him then. Then you'd hear less of that argument. I remember Rafer re-posting Yao once this year. Yao scored. It'd be nice to have a larger sample size. I think we can all agree on that.

Reversing the ball when the ball is passed out of a double-team is actually not that good when a team is disciplined defensively like the Mavs and have very good rotations. But on a repost, Yao will get the ball in better position and immediately go for a shot. The double wouldn't get there in time. This worked VERY effectively last year, but we've gone away from it this year. That is a TERRIBLE idea IMO.

Another solution is for Yao to immediately go for the shot once he gets the ball.... but this makes Yao rush his shots and will make him miss more.

T-Mac actually dd start off well, 5-10.

Yao was playing well, but it was impossible for him to do anything in the post. He was getting doubled instantly, and with none of the shooters and slashers taking advantage, no amount of reposts would have hlped anything.

And I don't know if you noticed, but T-Mac was the only consistent guy to get the ball into Yao.

T-mac just needs to realize sometimes when his shots are off, it's time to drive to the basket or pass out. He got off a hot start, and he believes it will come back if he keeps shooting. When it doesn't, it can cost a game. It's a regular season game, I know, but this has happened in playoffs, too. I still have very bad flashbacks from the 7-th game in Dallas, as well as in Houston last season.

Enough touches? If you call high post touches "touches" then maybe. Go back and watch replay, even when Tmac was sitting on the bench, Yao seldom got touches in low post. He did passed out like 4 or 5 times against double-triple team, but no effort made to get him the ball again.

Overall the team is doing fine so far. No need to blame Tmac/Rafer.
Now let's milk Francis into the system and hopefully he
will be our lethal weapon against Spurs/Mavs.

Being a POW doesn't mean you are really that good. Wake up TMAC, you still doesn't pass the first round of playoff. 7/17 on first half is worse enough, and you made another 2/14 in the second? Come on, trust your teammate.

Our goal early in the season is to win as many games as we can while we learn the new system and player combinations. 3 out of 4 so far is pretty good.

By tomorrow night, I expect us to be 3-2, despite playing 2 of the top 3 teams in the league, plus the Jazz in their building.

By the next time we face the Spurs, we'll be 7-2.

Relax. It's a learning project, and every win we pull off against an elite team while we're working on it is a bonus.

    The way Yao moved?
he moved fast enough to the low post and draw the double team while there was still 15secs left.
    you watch the game sir?

He was getting touches in the low post, but as you said, he was doubled instantly. No amount of reposts would have helped as the shooters and slashers had no idea how to take advantage of Yao being doubled like they did last season.

5 seconds is sufficient for him to take one power dribble and get off a jumper or a jump hook.

They weren't even TRYING to repost him. They were just reversing the ball but the Mavs are disciplined defensively and have quick rotations so they got out on our shooters. The repost needs to be a part of this offense.

He had 8 assists, so he was setting everybody up.

But one MAJOR THING I have about Tmac: GET INTO THE F**KING GAME!
By that I mean be more aggresiveness, heck be selfish but ATTACK. I know it sounds simple and cliche but Tmac when he is off, he doesn't seem to get involved enough. I seriously think someone in the media needs to openly criticize him for not having a killer instinct, because then he will perhaps get motivated.........

    Phew ok Im done

    I think
