No, but his performance this season can be chalked up to any number of things. However, I STILL would prefer him to almost any other QB in the league. The only thing VY does is WIN GAMES. He gets the W. Period. VY has that Michael Jordan-like obsession with winning.

Yeah, I was really wondering about this. It really puts things in perspective.

He has helped the Titans to a 6-2 record, which is the 3rd best record in the NFL...not too shabby.

Who cares about stats, just win baby !

Which would you rather have, stats or victories? Vince Young's attitude has permeated that team, he is one of the biggest reasons they are 6-2.

You can't actually believe that? If KY was the qb for the Texans, with their lack of O-line and running game; and then you add lack of passing game, we would have probably lost every game this season.

a win is a win...even when its in spite of QB.

This completely delusional VY fans almost make me want to not like the guy...sad.

david carr was sacked 7 times last game, sage was not sacked last game; it's not the line that is the problem. lack of a running game!? ron dayne got a 122 yards yesterday! :D

I like Vince Young - great intangibles, good guy, wears his heart on his sleeve, is a Houstonian and proud, impressive leader.

He sucks as a passer though. Worse than Vick. #33 in the league in terms of QB rating, #19 in passing %, highest INT% among QBs, and #28 in TD%.

Stats don't tell the whole story, but when your stats are this strikingly awful, you can't brush them off, either.

The Titans win because of a solid running game and a stout run defense (allow only 66 rypg!!!). They are the second worst passing offense in the league, and you can't shield VY from that. Brady took a poor receiving corps and them look good almost every year. VY may not have much WR help, but he's certainly not making anything happen with his arm.

You know, (although I haven't read this thread this is the best place for this comment) I found it incredibly ironic that our friend David Carr played against VY's titans yesterday, and found himself on his ass 7 times.

That we kept this guy over Young, Cutler, or that pretty boy in AZ (name again?) looks continually more stupid. Although I must admit I'm *still* a big Mario Williams fan.

Haven't voted in the poll, but it's all Texans for me. Go Texans! The best football team in the Medical Center! (Well, that's where most of the roster is now, isn't it?)

i can give VY credit for 3-4 wins last year, but this year he's really, really stinking it up. yea, his team is 6-2 and wins are really what matters most and i can't argue with that. but, he isn't helping his team much.

i don't know see how much better he would be here. our offensive line is worse than Tennesee's. he'd be running for his life, albeit he's a much better runner than 99% of all the QB's, but once his legs go, what's left?

    i know, i know. i'm just a hater.

VY is not even a QB. He is below average passing wise. He is a good athlete and should be a RB or WR.

Texans fan over a VY fan.

    Easy choice.

Anybody who actually believes that these Texans would be better off today with Vince Young is officially suffering from delusional disorder/classic cognitive dissonance.

The ONLY THING that has been good for the Texans this year is the passing game. You really think they wouldn't be 0-9 or 1-8 right now if you took that away? Some of you KY fanboys are too cross eyed to realize this fact: there's only one thing worse than Andre Johnson getting injured and missing a few games: Andre Johnson's talent being wasted by a quarterback that doesn't know how to get him the football.

LenDale White and the Titans defense say hi. "Period."

But he doesn't have that Michael Jordan-like obsession with statistics and performances that don't suck.

VY was the greatest college qb I ever saw. He will never be as good as Brady/Manning/Palmer and never as good as other runners like Elway or Steve Young (they had much better arms) but he can still be a top tier starting QB in the NFL and the duel threat keeps the other team off gaurd.

Plus VY just makes plays when it matters. But of course nobody is bigger than the home team

First sign that a quarterback might not be good: when his supporters count a passing performance of 164 yards by him as "throwing all day" on someone.
