Anybody want to ball before the season opener? [11/3]

I propose a pre-thanksgiving game. Maybe Wednesday afternoon?

 

I suggest everyone drives up to my place.

that was awesome! my legs are killing me this morning.

anyway, I plan to be out there pretty much every Saturday afternoon, so if anyone wants to continue to show up, I'll be there.


Oh and i think glad_ken and maybe OldManBernie left their basketballs at the court. I picked them up when we left so if you guys show up again, I'll be sure to get them back to you.

 

I'll be there every saturday as well.

Hey everybody, I had a great time out there just like everybody else. I'd love to make it a weekly thing, but I have a suggestion. Could we perhaps find a different court? They may be asking a lot, but it's slippery to the point of being seriously dangerous even playing at half speed. I was making a conscious effort to keep my feet under me and still almost ate it a half dozen times.

Basically I'm sceered

 

If anyone does find a good court we can play at, then that would be cool. I'm gonna try my best to make it to the next one. Preferably a court closer to UH?

 

How about that court outside the toyota center?

 

I've never been there, but that sounds real good! There's also an outdoor court at UH, the blacktops. finalsbound should know this too, since I think she lives in the dorms. Either way.. I think both places are good!

 

yeah been there a couple times.... no shade IIRC,but I'm not sure if there is shade at the toyota center court either.

 

I think it takes a little getting used to, but yeah overall there was a lot of slipping going on.

I'm up for playing wherever, as long as it isn't like 2 hours away and we don't have to share the court with gangbangers.

 

Yeah no shade at UH blacktops. But the weather is so nice that unless it rains, we don't really need a shade.

However I don't quite know if there are gonna be those gangbangers, like moes mentioned, on Saturday. I've played several times with them at the blacktops. Not so bad.

There are 2 full courts at the blacktops, just letting you guys know. If you guys are willing to shell out $8 for a whole day, we can always play at the UH rec. We're pretty much guaranteed a court on Saturdays.

 

Are you guys going agin anytime soon? Is anyone any good?

We should sticky this thread as a Clutch BBall thread where people can come in and organize games for people in this board.

I would be down to play this weekend (minus sunday) to play anywhere near UH.

 

I'm down for playing again but I'm with CCR about the court. I would hate to see someone get seriously hurt out there. BTW It was great meeting you guys.
