    Jason Witten is a tough SOB!

    Cowboys are dominating and the Mavs are gonna slapped tommorow, all is right in Texas sports.

    ya exactly. I'm a big sports radio fan, so that's all you hear about

    hehe, it's always interesting how that works

    my story is that I was born in Houston, but my family moved to Dallas when I was young (in elementary school). I had already started liking sports and followed the Oilers/Rockets/Astros before moving. but I grew up the rest of my childhood all the way through high school in Dallas, so naturally I became a *diehard* Cowboys fan...they have always been kings in the city

    but for some reason, I never took to the Mavs in the same way. I've always liked the Rockets more. I'm a casual fan of the Mavs of course...but even when they went to the Finals, I wasn't that pumped about it (and I'm talking about even before they lost 4 in a row)

    Haha that was hilarious. He copied him twice in the same sequence.

    Witten's my favorite TE. The man has some guts running 25 yards without a helmet

    I think Tank is still ineligible (thought he was cleared to play, but I guess that was just for practice). He'll be eligible for the next game against the Giants though.

    Whitten is a beast. I was living in TN while he was in school and was praying the Texans would take him. Instead we took some stud TE from Michigan. :mad:

    Lil Pun has been the resident Iggles fan for a long time, it isn't like we haven't suffered in the McNabb/Reid era so a start to payback was good.

    Boys look good. @NYG and home versus GB on the schedule. Real big test next week (Giants). A win and a bye is all but assured in round 1, even if the Pack and their easy schedule and seemingly endless lucky breaks gets them the 1st seed (but the Boys can take care of them too). A Boys loss to the Giants could mean it comes down to the wire and they need to clean the division and GB. Personally I think Dallas does beat the Giants--the Giants win streak really has been against most of the dregs of the league. If Romo takes care of the ball, Boys should be just a little more solid than the Gmen.

    Cowboys just got to keep improving and getting Henry, Tank and Glenn in fold 100%, could really lead to a formidable group (elite level). If the defense can keep getting better (remember Ellis and Newman also missed most of the ealry games), plus that one more relaible WR in Glenn--this team is fierce. I'll take my chances versus the Pats in game 2 or Indy--it wasn't like the Boys didn't stick with the Pats for 3 quarters after an exhausting previous game. All I want is a chance and good effort in the Superbowl even if we are not quite ready to knock off Brady or Manning and co this year.

    desert scar,

    packers with the easy schedule? really?

    gb:

    philly
    @giants
    san diego
    @minnesota
    chicago
    washington
    @denver
    @ kansas city

    versus

    giants
    @ miami
    @ chicago
    st louis
    @ buffalo
    new england
    minnesota
    @ philly

    give me a break. the only game the cowboys had to play harder than green bay was the patriots, and they got killed. people disregard the packers as if theyre not 7-1...give them some respect. both the cowboys and packers deserve to be seen as the best in the nfc, and theyve both beaten the 6-2 giants, so we'll see who is better during their game in a few weeks.

    you don't go 7-1 based on luck, and their schedule thus far has not been easy at all. if the cowboys take their fans' attitudes and look ahead past green bay/other teams to the super bowl, they will lose. and then they can blame it on 'luck' all they want.

    What I hate about being an Eagles fan is that I am surrounded by Cowboys fans here in Arkansas. I really never say anything about the Eagles when they defeat the Cowboys but I never hear the end of it when the Cowboys are victorious.

    Some of the Eagles were really starting to play dirty after the game got out of hand. That flying shot to the head against Julius Jones was just as dirty as you could ever see.. and even on Witten's remarkable hatless play, they took a flying head-shot at him too..

    That's pretty low-class, but what else does anyone expect from a place where they boo Santa and throw batteries?

    not to mention cheer when michael irvin had his career ending injury. i don't like to group entire people but the philly crowd is pretty class-less. they go far beyond our chants for franchise.

    We just talked about that at lunch...The guy didn't get ejected, but should have...I'm sure he'll get fined and hopefully suspended for that play...

    A lot of teams start playing that way when they are getting beat, especially at home it's not just the Eagles.

    Your right, not a big difference, maybe no difference (depending on how much you weight the Boys had to play NE--which BTW, they played competive with for 3 quarters), in strength of schedule.

    But what has been different is the impressiveness of winning. The Cowboys have 6 games they won by 10 or more and were in command most of the game. The Pack have had 2 of such games (including the Chiefs who had a chance to win with 3 minutes left). Most every game I see them seems like it hinges on a play here or there in the 4th quarter--so far they have made them, but it makes me think they are closer to above average squad (which makes for a very good NFC team) than a dominant team.

    The Pack are a good team, no doubt one of the 3 best NFC teams (Dallas and NYG are the others--but the Giants really made their streak on the back of bad teams). I simply think Dallas is the best of the NFC, it is also supported by the stats....
    +92 point differential (Best in the NFC)
    +108 YPG differential (Best in the NFC)
    -best record in the NFC
    -Also consider the Boys have the #1 offense in the NFC (GB #2) and #3 defense in the NFC (GB #6)(and the defense will finally start to get their 2 best corners, 2nd best pass rusher, and maybe best interior Dlineman in the fold--the defense should just get better).

    All in all the Boys are best team right now in the NFC. Yes the Pack and Giants have chances to turn the tables, but we will see. Personally I think the Packs' lack of offensive balance will hurt them sooner or later. Better defenses will not give GB the deep WR routes, and I think they will struggle trying to run and nickle and dime you. I think Romo will have to have one of his multiple brain fart games (like Buf) and Farve will have to keep from having one of his, for GB to beat them in Dallas--but I certainly want the Boys to take that game with absolute focus because the inside track to the superbowl willl be on the line.

    definitely looking forward to that game. i just get annoyed sometimes because everybody writes the packers off as 'lucky' every week though they're 7-1. at least the cowboys have the same record...when people start saying the giants are better is what really gets me, seeing that the giants not only have a worse record but lost handily to the pack.

    i'm looking forward to packers-cowboys. itll be a big one and, as a packers fan, it would be nice to see how we match up. our lack of a running game makes me nervous, and i'm interested in seeing how that will affect us against dallas, as well as the cowboys strong offense against our strong defense.

    thanks for the cordial reply, by the way.
