How much are these suites? I'm sure it's like pocket change for Yao, but man I sure wish I was in his posse.

With all your chinese sources, I am surprised that you haven't posted any stories or pictures of the women's Chinese National team in Texas to play games against Texas A&M, etc?

hey Pryuen, I love Yao too. But you don't have to talk like the whole world revolves around Yao and he's the one who makes everything happen. These girls came to watch a Rockets game and I am sure they can afford to pay a few bucks for the tickets if Yao wasn't so generous to pay for suite. This Chinese basketball women team doesn't come to the US because of Yao Ming.

Now that Yao is married, I am sure his wife now has a Platinum American Express charge card and she probably paid for the suite, not Yao.

Yao's money is now his wife's money! :D

Well, they don't come to USA just for Yao Ming; but in Yao Ming's interview with Patty Smith, he did mention that the Chinese national team did come to Houston to visit their old team mate, Ye Li. And they are playing host to their visit in Houston.

So if Yao Ming and Ye Li are not based in Houston, the Chinese women national team won't drop by Houston, okay??

So Ye Li isn't a part of the CNT because she got married to Yao? How does it really work, what happens to a retired athlete in China? Do they get retirement checks from the Gov't or do they have to do something?

I think I have read that Ye Li has retired from the CNT way before she married Yao (because of an injury?).

Well, there is little if none coverage on the Chinese websites about the women national team's visit to USA.

For this visit to Houston, there was no photos except small paragraphs in the game summary articles mentioning that Yao Ming paid for their suites in Toyota Centre to watch the game versus Portland Trailblazers and that they were treated for a feast at Yao's Restaurant & Bar prior to coming to Toyota Centre.

Beside, if not for the drop-by to Houston to visit the Yaos, why should I care to post their visiting Texas to play against Texas T&M? It is non GARM related.

It is the ultimate AMEX card, higher than gold, and platinum, with higher annual fees and threhold of minimum spendings, but more previleges, and more importantly, sort of unlimited spending limit and prestige.

Sounds to me that the Chinese media discriminates against the women. If it was the men's CNT in Texas, it would be in the Chinese National Enquire. :D
