I don't know if Wellfarm on 6 @ Dulles counts, but if it's not, it's pretty close. I've only been in there once.
you mean an ethnic grocery mart? The only two in downtown I can think of is Kim Hung supermarket and Long Sing market. I havent been there in a loooooong ass time. That Chinatown in downtown doesnt exist.
Kim Hung Market is east of downtown @ McKinney and St. Emmanuel (the bunh mi from restraunt in the middle of the courtyard are really cheap and delicious) Hong Kong City Market is on Bellaire near Kirkwood (you gotta check out Lee's Sandwiches, which is about 2 blocks away on Bellaire)
My favorite is at Bellaire & Boone Road....Hong Kong City Market. Not in Sugarland, but close enough.
There's a huge Asian supermarket on the beltway and Beechnut (close to SugarLand), where KMart used to be. I don't know the name, but it's always packed.
I went to the Hong Kong Mall a couple of weeks ago and it was sweet! Huge and in the middle of an asian neighborhood (I think). Southwest side off Bellaire(?).
I was gonna mention this as well. It's really close to the Toybox if you ever need to grab a quick grub before a game. I don't know when the courtyard restaurant closes tho.. I think the whole place closes pretty early. Try their seafood noodle soup. It's quite delectable.
Close. But, the one he's talking about is the Parkway Center or whatever it's called.. The former Auchan's. Remember Auchan's?! The one right next to Wal-Mart. Viet Hoa is down the street from Parkway Center.
