Vince Young Vs David Carr

when vince young needs to make plays, he will. that's what matters. right now the titans are doing just fine coasting along with their running game and defense. when the playoffs come around, expect vince to step up and start making his big plays.

 

So to all those folks yearning for Rafer to be benched and for Francis to play, is it O.K. to say "scoreboard"?

KY even won the game he didn't play.

 

He had some horrible dropped balls from his receivers that would have added quite a bit of yardage and a TD to his total. Didn't matter, though. Titans won the game.

 

thanks for watching the game. I like how the h__ers don't watch and comment on it. Also, last game Vince didn't look like he was fully back from his injury.

Roydell Williams and Ben Troupe suck. I hope they get some people in the off season. Notice how some players ran the wrong routes, and troupe dropping another pass in his hands again.

 

I think the Texans should trade Andre Johnson for Justin Gage, because Gage is clearly a winner and he has scoreboard.

Vince Young has been one of the worst starting QB's in the league this year. The Titans' defense and Lendale White have masked his incredibly poor performance. I think they have a better offense with Kerry Collins in the game, quite frankly.

 

that's, like, totally not the same.

 

so lendale white with his 613 yards rushing and around 3.5 yards per carry average have been carrying the titans? the defense has been great and vince will make plays when he needs to. and teams worried about vince's mobility aren't able to focus as much on the running backs like white.

 

Lendale White is good because vince draws the defense's attention.

 

Explain how a QB with one of the lowest passer ratings in the league does this. Young's rushing yardage is down as well. I'm not buying what you are selling.

if some is a hater, then it will be impossible to argue with him. he will hate him regardless what record the team has or whatever happens in his career. it's amazing how much hate one player can from this board. the bottom line is the coach and team have confidence in developing a young player and the team is doing well. winning. just let the haters hate, and let the real posters debate.

 

it's true that VY doesn't have very good stats this year...but as others have said in this thread, it's because every week the opposing defense has to key SOLELY on Vince due to his incredible potential explosiveness. defenses can't afford to prepare or even pay attention to anyone other than VY

that opens everything up for all his teammates, and that's why the Titans have a great record so far. opposing NFL players still all have nightmares probably from VY's two Rose Bowl performances

now yes, I did go to UT myself so I might be slightly biased...but anyone should be able to see VY's talents and leadership in big games

I really don't understand how anyone could hate the guy, especially with most people being fellow Houstonians on this board (I'm assuming). now I can totally understand if you don't want to cheer for the Titans, that's cool...but how can anyone actually *dislike* VY??? he is the freakin man
