-So who's going to see Girl Talk tonight at the Engine Room? I missed him at Cochella. I saw Justice instead. Gonna be a great show. If you like mash-ups/hip-hop/alt/dance musice I sugest you go. http://www.myspace.com/girltalkmusic - M.I.A. plays tomorrow at Club V. This might be an interesting crowd since Paul Wall is opening up for her. Indie kids and thugs at one show. I'll bring my bulletproof. I could give 2 sh*ts about Paul Wall but M.I.A. is going to be HOT!!! Whos' going? http://www.myspace.com/mia
MIA is not worth it. show is more about production rather than her talent. but, then again, i question her talent anyway, but to each their own.
I just saw this thread now. Just got back from Girl Talk. Really wasn't impressed. I was standing in the back and couldn't even see Greg (Girl Talk) after the second minute or so b/c everyone was dancing on stage. It kind of felt like just going to some club, where a DJ is playing music. Did you get on the stage? I think half the crowd was on there, but I left after about an hour or so. I normally never leave a show early, but it felt kinda monotonous. My favourite mashup artists are The Hood Internet from Chicago. http://www.thehoodinternet.com/ http://www.myspace.com/therealhoodinternet As for MIA, it what is the difference between Club V and Verizon Wireless Theatre exactly? It says the show is at Verizon, but wasn't sure what Club V is. I haven't even bought my tickets for the show, but I see that they are still available at Ticketmaster. I really like MIA's new album. I've seen Paul Wall perform about 3-4 months ago and there were about 200 people there max. Its hilarious when Tv Johnny gets up on stage and shows everyone his grill.
I missed Girl Talk on account of a girl. The irony. I'm headed to M.I.A. Buying my tickets at the door. I don't really know the difference between Verizon and Club V.
How was M.I.A.? I have tickets to see her at the House of Blues in Dallas on Sunday. I am expecting a very good show.
