    Rookie treatment?
I hope it will pass until the end of the season .You can't make such mistakes in the playoffs, it might cost you the whole game.

if theres one person i'd want to start instead of coming off the bench it'd be scola. however, we don't need him to start because he's TOO offensively skilled. hayes complements t-mac and yao because he doesnt need to score. this is the same reason why rafer starts over james. this way tmac and yao get their shots early, then when james, bonzi, and scola come in they can take all the shots. i dont want to move anyone in the starting lineup because of how it would affect our bench. bonzi, james, and scola coming off the bench = game over

in fact, i think this will be the rotation for the rest of the season. i am great at predicting, so don't take this lightly. ;)

Actually, this is my rotation for the season too.
With this much talent on the team, we need sorta balance between defense and offense. with Tmac and Yao on the court, no one else needs to score a lot, thus a pass first PG and a defensive PF are the perfect pieces with our 2 scoring machine. When Yao and Tmac are resting, we need some serious firepower off the bench. M.James, Scola and Bonzi are the guys we can rely on.

Its safe to say, this bench( James, Scola, Bonzi) is as good as Spurs bench... if not better.

Kudos to watashi and rofflesaurus for very intelligent analysis and insight.

Something I'm really liking that I see in Scola is that the guy is always uplifting his teammates. He is clearly tuned in--ears and eyes open to everything his teammates and coaches say and do. He is backslapping and supporting everyone on the team at every break.

I like the starting lineup and bench. But i really hope steve could adept to this system and start over rafer. Steve isn't selfish, he just dribbles the ball way too much. Furthermore, when vs teams like phoenix who loves to double team yao before he even touches the ball, we may start scola over hayes.

I noticed in the Utah game that Scola appeared to be the same size as Okur. I was surprised. Isn't Okur a seven footer? Folks, I don't think Scola is an "undersized" PF as some have said. He is not slow, either. Plus, he is very aggressive, and like Hayes, he seems to have a nose for the ball.

Scola is also likely to pick up ticky tack fouls being a rookie. Best not to make those in the early minutes of the 1st and get the team into the penalty quickly. That will change in time as he earns some respect from the refs.

It's early in the season... Adelman will eventually adjust for some matchup problem, and Scola will eventually see starting action, even if it's game to game... We'll see...

Right now it's great having a 2nd unit that actually increases the talent level by position over some of the starters... Not many other teams can or do do that... That's where the Rockets have taken control of games so far: in the 2nd quarter...

To me, it doesn't matter whether he is starting or not as long as he is getting meaningful minutes.

Scola is coming off the bench now so he has time to observe the game and officiating before coming in

After having worked court-side in the NBA, I can say that a lot of players don't live up to their listed height. Having said that, there is indeed a height difference between Scola and Okur. If they line them up standing straight next to one another, it will be more obvious. However, in a game, depending on the camera angles, the perspective of the lenses can make the difference seem less obvious.

Good point, that is why I said "appeared." He and Okur may not be the same height, but Okur doesn't tower over him. Their hair is about three or four inches high as well.
