Only 2 games, but look at the showing by the Rockets... esp Scola! woo hoo http://www.nba.com/statistics/lenovo/lenovo.jsp
Pay attention to one on the bottom... This year's Top 2 combination of Mike James and louis Scola = +17. Last year's combination of Rafer and Juwan = -2 billion. It all adds up....
Not to burst your bubble or anything, but those are for just last night. Considering there were only 3 games, it's not that amazing. For example, Luis Scola is #25 overall when you include the first game and all teams.
Considering he didn't do much in his first ever regular season game, I'm impressed w/ a 25th ranking even with the small sample. As for the ridiculous comment on Alston + Howard, their Lenovo wasn't that bad. http://www.nba.com/statistics/lenovo/lenovo_sort.jsp?pcomb=2&season=22006&split=9&team=Rockets Recall also that much of Howard's time was when Yao was out. Notice also that for the regular season last year, 4 of the top 5 Rocket's two-man Lonevos included Alston.
But he did nothing to hurt his Lenovo stat in that first game. He was actually in when the Rockets started to come back so if anything it helped. The #25 ranking just has more to do with other teams (players) being included, rather than just the 6 teams that played last night. #25 is good, I'm just saying it's no #1.
luther head is also +17 so far for the season. Given how little time he's been in the game, that's really really impressive. may not have anything to do with luther...
I'm surprised by the quick dismissal of Luther Heads play. He showed some of his scoring versatility last night when he blew by a defender for a lay in. Initially I thought it was Mike James that did it but when they did a close up of who made the basket, it was Head. The man is quick and surprisingly explosive especially after being touted as only a spot up shooter.
imo part of that has to do with the offensive scheme, more space in the middle, offense was spread out, but yeah, that was a nice play by luther. luther hasn't played much, and that is due to noone mentioning him, but his role as 9th man on this team and the way he is playing his role has been perfect.
http://www.nba.com/statistics/lenovo/lenovo_sort.jsp?pcomb=1&season=22007&split=9&team=Rockets Yeah, we should bench Head.
How about bench Rafer,Mutombo, T-mac, Yao and Battier?? almost the starting lineup..oh wait, Chuck is the next in line!
I wouldn't put too much stock into this until a couple more games have been played. You can't get an accurate stat out of just two games.
Under Adelman, Yao belongs to Lenovo no more. maybe Adelman wants Miller over Yao in his system. Yao under Adelman=Wasted Superstar
You are the dumbest person I have ever come across at ClutchFans. You are the first person going on my Ignore list. The Lenovo stat is almost meaningless after 2 games, you moron. Remember my name when you see where Luther is 2 years from now, you moron.
That's a trip. Watching the game, I thought that was James as well. I stopped my DVR, went back, looked again and there was Luther. He should do that more often! Scola? I love the guy. Instantly one of my favorite players on the Rocks. He's going to make one hell of a positive impact this season. VIVA SCOLA!!!
it's cool, i did it to him in another thread where he made some stupid comments. he basically has an illogical hatred for luther head, and somehow tried to back it with blanket statements, which actually watching basketball would prove to be wrong.
