He said it would hurt rocket pockets. I don't know that could NOT mean Rockets.

If Yao went out in a deal for Kobe and Bynum it would hurt Rocket pockets but could be a sweet move.

    I solved the second half:

Aging African = Loul Deng. Deng was born in Sudan and is aging (or maturing) both in his game and his actual age!

    Disgruntled Star = Kobe Bryant

Hurt pockets = Kobe wanting an extension that will make him the highest paid player since Jordan.

The other star complaining star = Artest!

so I'm seeing something like this:

    Lakers get Deng/Artest and Fillers
    Bulls get Kobe Bryant
Kings get combo of young Bulls talent and contracts

    Complaining star= Shawn Marion?
Aging African = Steve Nash? (He was born in South Africa)

    Possibly a Lakers/Suns trade?

And when he talks about the "setting sun", the sun sets in the far west, (CA).

    Here's my take...

I think the 1st complaining star is Shawn Marion, and the aging African is Steve Nash who is 33.

The 2nd complaining star has to be Kobe. The aging contract could be Radmanovic?

I think rocket pockets is Jerry Buss. Just flipped to throw people off since this is a Rockets board. I think the setting sun reference is also a metaphor for the state of the Laker franchise which is going downhill fast.

threads like this is what built this website.... and is also why I lurk for new news daily in the bbs.

this goes waaay back to the clutchcity.com days back in the late 90's...

I was more of a poster back 10 years ago :)

    PS~ I am still convinced that popeye/OP is Rudy T... :)

AND I have already alerted my friends that something is going down, i suggest you do the same.. your street cred will go through the roof when it comes to Rocket info! :):)

dont know about this place's history, but apparently this is a post to take seriously
Deke + Francis most likely. Yao and TMac are not complaining.

    could be Pheonix or California.

Complaining stars in Pheonix and California
    Marion
    Bibby
    Miller
    Kobe

I think Bibby is the most likely target, but I dont see how the salaries work out. Maybe if Sacramento would take Deke+Francis+Snyder[or another filler player] for Bibby it could work. Adleman would love to have Bibby, PG is the only uncertain spot on this team. Bibby's contract is big, this move would help Sacramento free up some cash for rebuilding. I would love to swap Steve for Bibby, though we better hope Yao can stay healthy if we ship Deke out. Looks like Les might have to pay a luxory tax though, maybe he decided it was a worthy investment because a championship is worth more $$.

    Yao will stay....
Morey stated that Tmac would not be traded.....
    Who else is there?
Steve and Deke can't be traded so that leaves,
    Scola
    AB
    Bonzi
    Rafer
    MJ
    Shane
Unless Morey is a liar it is hard to believe any of those guys will be traded...
Maybe the Tmac/Yao combo just does not work like we thought it would...

This is what makes this the best board period. Even if nothing materializes the intrigue is worth it.

How could Adleman have been displeased with Tmac's play so far? And didnt he say they are in no way involved in trade discussions for Kobe/TMac?

It would be ironic if either Yao or Tracy is complaining now, considering Adelman said he would make their lives easier... and considering neither complained during the yearso of the supposedly mean-ass Van Gundy.

That is waaaay too simple to be a real cryptic message from Oeilpere.

But my guess is it has something to to with WAShington.

Somewhere in this monster thread Clutch ensures Popeye isn't an adminstrator in disugise. He also says he has his doubts about this being legit. Looks real though. Feels real.

The only old african born players in this league are Deke and Nash. Of those two only Nash can be traded within the week.
