Bad News: Francis was interviewed at halftime and said he would miss, likely, the entire 4 to 6 weeks as predicted. Bummer. Good News: He said he wanted to play it safe and not jeopardize having a long career as a Houston Rocket.
Yea, I heard that too...Maybe I'm reading too much into things, but I thought I almost heard him say that it 'doesn't look good'. Could it be that he might be out even longer?
I heard that too x34....it was like he was wanted to say things are not looking good and then he tried to cover his statement by going back to the 4-6wks estimate. I will say this, I cannot remember the last time an injury estimate put out by the front office has been accurate. If their past record/history with these estimates is any indication of the current situation, Stevie will be out 8-10wks
Actually, he is just frustrated. The Chron is reporting that Steve has progressed well and is expected back within 3 weeks. They are now letting him shoot.
Let's pull a San Antonio, and tank it for the whole season . . . then pick Yao Ming with the first pick
I just want to buy him a new pair of shoes and let him break them in when he's ready to take the floor.
I don't think we realize the magnitude of the mess we're in. Our "Big 4", which we talked about before the season, are ALL out. This is incredibly ****ed up. Losing our 4 is, arguably, like Milwaukee losing their big 3. Do you think they would'nt be a lottery team without them? Since their and our basisi was high-scoring games, then we're completely messed up. Think about it. In-shape Rice can average 18ppg on a mediocre team. In-shape Mo Taylor can average 21ppg on a mediocre team (I think he did it on the Clippers). Francis CAN score 25ppg. Mobley CAN score 25 ppg. Fact of the matter is, our starters were suposed to average 85 points. Projected as: Francis (23ppg), Mobley(21ppg), Rice(15ppg), MoT(18ppg),Cato(8ppg).
What about Kareem Rush from Missouri? He is the athletic 3 Rudy has been looking for. Lineup time Griffin (if he gains 25lbs) Taylor Rush Mobley Francis
