I think Kobe and T-Mac together would be more like Jordan and Jordan together. Is that better? I'm not so sure.

No, thanks. Teams search for years for a franchise big man. We have one.

I voted no, and don't want to trade either Yao or Tmac, the team is fine the way it is. Its always nice to root for a team, when you like all the players personally.

As DD stated it brings up an interesting discussion. Why would management do it? REMEMBER I AM NOT FOR THE TRADE, but for the sake of arguement lets consider it.

We all know Yaos criticisms and limitations, and they are very legitimate ones. With the direction the league is heading in, the way of the big dominant center is going the way of the dodo bird. Do I think Yao is a dominant center? No, but he will be one of the greats. Yao will always have his limitations, namely being to take him out of the game by running him off the court, or just swarming him with defenders. Because of those reasons I don't see him having a shaq like career, where dominant centers can just impose their will. I see Yao having a Chris Webber like career when he was in his prime, an elite big man who will have his team in contention. Remember Yao couldn't carry this team when Tmac was out last year, we went 2-5 when Tmac was out, but Tmac was able to put this team on his back when yao was out.

Trading for Kobe is self explanatory. And him being a selfish player on the court is over blown, remember all he did for team USA was play terrific defense. Off the court is another story. I think he can play with Tmac since tmac is such an unselfish player.

Then this brings us to Andrew Bynum, the most interesting part of the trade in my opinion. This is the guy the lakers refused to trade for both Jason Kidd and Jermaine O Neal. He is a young player with tremendous upside and won't be run off the court like Yao can be. Lets say if Bynum can average maybe 10-13 points with 10 rebounds this year and maybe possibly 15 points and 10 rebounds next year, would it be that bad of a trade? We will be acquiring two franchise pieces from the lakers for just one of ours. In the end it comes down to what the rockets management thinks of Andrew Bynum and if he can become a good center or not.

i have no doubt that t-mac would defer to kobe. we know t-mac is very unselfish so that wouldnt be a problem. also kobe really respects t-mac i think he would defer to him as well.

You know Sina is going to jump on this real quick. The next thing you know, on Sina front page, Rockets Fans want Yao for Kobe, which makes Yao mad, and this might become true. Just dont start a poll like this.

This question is somewhat similar to the question of whether Cuban should trade Dirk for Kobe. Cuban's answer was "no way." Some disagree since Kobe is probably the better player with fewer limitations. However, Cuban wanted Dirk to stay because Dirk was his guy, been there for years through the tough years and so Cuban doesn't want to give him up even for Kobe.

I wonder if Les Alexander has a similar attachment to Yao Ming. My guess is "no" since he got rid of Steve Francis and Cat Mobley for Tracy McGrady. Les loves his proven superstars, and is willing to pay for them.

in all reality, the rockets would never do this trade. yao brings in such a large international fanbase. from a business standpoint, it would be stupid to trade him.

when u have those 2 guys together, they just take turns to score. i have no doubt they would put up 60+ pts together nightly.

but we have a great team right now. why do wishful thinking? yao just sucked one game people. and its a physical utah team.

he's gonna own the blazers on sunday who has nobody on the frontline. then everything will be back to normal.

kobe just whines too much for my taste. i think he whines as much as his kids.

Once we trade Yao, the biggest 'loss' is that we will never see you post here again. As a Yao-only-hater, you will follow him to his new team to keep doing your lame bashing with the comfort of hiding in the basement of your home. The easiest way to expose this fool is by taking a look at what he said in his first 50 posts when he first joined this board. He did not even bother to pretend that he was a Rockets fan at that time.

Yes, and you have your past posts to prove that you have been certified to own that name.

T-Mac & Yao will be together until one or both retire. Kobe while an athletic freak of nature cannot get it done by himself he needs a big man. If you're trading him for Yao doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose? Face it, Kobe screwed up when he b*tched enough that Shaq went to Miami and now combos with Wade. Kobe is his own worst enemy. Kobe b*tched and Kobe got what he wanted and now, Kobe is b*tching again. He gets what he deserves in my opinion. We all see what kind of class act T-Mac is and what a talent he is so long as his health in particular, his back continues to improve. T-Mac & Kobe while an unbelievable combination personally don't think the situation would allow such a coexistence to transpire. BTW, if the first two games are an indication of a new and improved T-Mac, who needs Kobe? :p

    you're just crazy.

i'd trade yao w/ the quickness for lebron. yao is not truly dominant to where he's completely untouchable. if he was on shaq's prime status, then hell yea i wouldn't trade him for anybody. but yao is not that good.

bron is 22. kobe is 29 so sure u might hesitate. but bron is 22 and will carry a franchise for at least 12 more years at a high level.
