The Jazz are tough for Yao no doubt but when he tried harder in the 4th quarter in Game 7 last year they couldn't stop him on offense. He needs to use his physical strength too. He doesn't have to be as big as Boozer,or Okur. In the high post he can be effective when he sets screens and passes the ball out to T-Mac.

Even if Yao continues to struggle from the high post all year long, I still say you continue to give him some plays there. If anything, the time he logs in the high post allow him to conserve some energy for the 4th quarter, where he will mostly spend his time in the low post. One of the major factors that really wore on Yao in JVG's system was banging play after play in that low post, with players like Okur who can bump and push him around.

Yao was in the low post most of the game, the offense had nothing to do with him struggling.

Yao played the ball in the low post the majority of the game, he was missing point blank shots.

this guy is putting it all on tmac and didnt even acknowledge mike james' major role... he sounds whiny, calling on playoff failures of the rockets to somehow atone for their loss.

exactly, and chalking this game up to saying Yao just had a bad game, it wasn't just ONE bad game, it has been consistent how uncomfortable he looks on both ends of the floor against utah. okur really bothers him, when yao is scoring it is on collins. something i see is that he is overly conscious about his moves to the basket because some person is going to come and strip him. and a couple of times last night that happened, it just seems to happen more when rockets play the jazz.

He must have a giant bruise on his back from Okur putting his elbows on it. That Okur is so dirty.

    On a side note,

Adelman was 20-10 vs. the Jazz in his tenure in Sacramento. Most of the losses were in the late 90's vs. Stockton and Malone when the Kings were still young and had Jason Williams running point. Also, Adelman is 9-4 in the playoffs against Sloan. 2 series win to one loss, the lone loss being early in his sacramento career.

    Looks good!
