I don't think this is referring to the Houston Rockets. The clue says rocket pockets not The Rockets' pocket.

Also did you guys know that the Nuggets franchise was known as the Denver Rockets in the ABA from 1967-1974. Interesting.

Oh HELL no. If setting sun means ... the west ... even wester than Denver ... he has to be talking about the Lakers.

I don't want to see Kobe on the Nuggets with either Melo or AI. That would be really scary. Kobe's complaining...but which one of the Nuggets is complaining? Iverson?

AI got traded to a crap team in Eastern Conference standards to a pretty good team in Western Conference standards... I don't see why he should be complaining so soon already.

    I don't see any Nuggets complaining...hmm...

I would say Kobe + TMac = more talent than Jordan + Pippen.

But I would be highly disappointed if the Rockets traded T-Mac or Yao because they both have gone through similar failures in their careers and I would love to see them succeed as a tandem!

the only duo that has come close to Jordan + pippen was Shaq/Kobe.

I apologize if I have remembered this wrongly. I think someone has said before in Hangout that Popeye had passed away and one of his relative broke the news to this board. Anyway, I am happy that the guy is still alive. Welcome back.

    I'm just stunned ... :D

Popeye, it is so good to see you back. You really had us all worried, since the last communication we had was with your kid, when you were in the hospital.

So glad you are healthy, but to have you teasing everyone is a real trip.

lol ... (shaking my head) ... big grin on my face this morning.

    WELCOME BACK!

it's 5AM on the East Coast and here I am reading this mystery thread. I love/hate this.

So the primary list of candidates so far are...

    Rockets:
    Alston
    Francis (Disgruntled Star?)
    McGrady (Disgruntled Star?)
    Mutumbo (African?)
    Wells
    Yao (Disgruntled Star?)

    Denver:
    Kenyon Martin (African?)
    Allen Iverson (Disgruntled Star?)

    Los Angeles:
    Kobe Bryant (Disgruntled Star?)

    Phoenix:
    Shawn Marion (Disgruntled Star?)

    Sacramento:
    Artest (Disgruntled Star?)
    Bibby (Disgruntled Star?)

    Utah:
    AK-47 (Disgruntled Star?)

I'm too tired to list the 3-way deals involving the Bulls and the less mentioned players (Battier, Snyder). I also thought of listing the candidates who qualified as "an aging contract", but again too tired. I'm sure someone could break it down better but I thought this could be a way to look ait.
