It will be interesting to see who the hell wants Sebastian Telfair. That guy is complete garbage. So much potential and hype.

Wonder what Emeka will cost...is he going to get Kenyon Martin money or 2nd to 3rd tier PF/C money? Would he go for the supposed home town discount? Ah, pipe dream anyways, Bobcats would be stupid to let him go.

Restricted Free Agency is a complete tease. It's so rare now for a team to be under the cap enough to offer a contract that the original team wouldn't match. For the most part, all anyone can offer is a MLE, and that's a bargain for the original team to match in most circumstances. Guys are pretty much forced to take one year tenders if they don't get an extension.

The NBA could stand to revisit the cap, lux tax, and RFA.

I love it when a player signs an offer sheet and then begs his team to not re-sign him.

"Yeah, I won't match the offer sheet....if you lick my balls! BWAHAHAHA!"

Every year at this time the pool looks sexy. By the time the playoffs start they will be locked up.

    OR

teams could stop overpaying for scrubs and save the money for the guys that might make a difference!

I think the cap system is working just fine --> can't fault the players who get offered the max, of course they should take it, but you gotta wonder why some guys are getting it... [or even close to]

If all some of these players can get offered is the MLE, then in a few years a 'savvy' GM will realise that if they don't overpay on a guy like Ricky Davis, then they might be able to afford a guy like Iguodala instead - should bring things back to order.
