Scola's NBA debut deserves his own thread IMO.

    9 mins 3 rebs 3 pf 0 pts

I don't want to be harsh but he sucked.

He came into the game and looked absolutely lost on the offensive and he picked up 3 fouls in just 9 mins.

I am glad Hayes started, clearly Scola still need more time to adjust to the NBA rules.

Adelman is mean, threw him in the doghouse. Doesn't know how to develop young guys. Scola plays with fire, something this team is missing.

You can't expect a foreign import to be ready to go game 1, no matter how polished he is or how well he did in the preseason. He's going to have plenty of games like this during the season. Be patient.

Yao didn't exactly come out killing either.

I was disappointed but it was his first game. I just imagined him being a lot more seasoned since he is 27 and has played for years.

Scola, if you read this please get a new brand of shampoo. Your hair was so greasy I found myself wanting to wipe my TV screen every time they focused on you. I love you dawg but we have different grooming practices here in the US.

Get real dudes!! It took Tony & Manu a couple of years to develope for the Spurs. It takes time to get used to the different rules & officiating. Scola will be good. Lets at least give him a week to develope. :D

He is ok. He was probably overwhelmed, but it was his first game. Give him some time.

Season opener, his first game in the NBA, on the road, national TV, the biggest "spotlight" game in the NBA with the whole Kobe thing going on, trailing by nearly double digits by the time he checks into the game.

Oh yeah. I expected SO MUCH MORE.

 (I really hate this smiley and try not to use it, but c'mon)

It's gonna take some time for him to make the adjustment to the NBA. But it will happen, I believe.
    He'll be a keeper.

That's no way to get your popularity up, rookie. Please refrain from making inane comments like that with no evidence to back it up.

Besides, 90% of this board will disagree with you. The other 10% are trolls.
