At some point why didn't Rudy try full court pressure to turn the tide. It seems to work against young teams like Chicago doesn't it? It was like Rudy was just resigned to the fact that the Rockets were going to lose. That same old 'Moochie walk it up' and let the chips fall where they may was brutal to watch! Do something different for God's sake when you are getting trounced by the bulls!!!

I also have been wondering this for the longest time.

I don't think it would be logical to have the "run and jump sort of press", but I feel we should at least play man-to-man full court.

With the new 8-second half court rule, the Rockets might be able to force a violation 1 or 2 times a game.

Also, playing a full man-to-man defense would surely make the other team take more time in getting their offense set.

With a 24 second shot clock, this would be a huge advantage.

The sad thing is that our opponents don't need to press us to slow our offense down. We already have Moochie.

Something was definitely wrong with the way that Rudy did nothing to change the momentum of last night's game. Rudy doesn't have arguably the best center of all time to block shots anymore and needs to change his defensive system.

Thats it right there. I never understand that when the Rockets are sluggish and get down, Rudy doesn't do anything to change the pace of the game. Next time the 76ers play and they get down, see what happens. Larry Brown will put on full court man to man pressure and force the tempo. The Bulls in the 90's use to press with pipp, jordan and grant and it would wear teams down. It would be nice to see Norris ,Torres,or Mobley,Griffin, and Cato and press a little. I don't get it either.

We don't press and we don't push the ball. Notice how teams push the ball on the Rockets? Why do we never press or push? It's irritating the hell out of me!!!
