A - freakin - men. I think a lot of these people are defending the Rockets just because of the simple fact that they're our home team. Well, the home team deserves criticism right now. Every bit of it. I don't see any room for optimism. :(

The home team is supposed to be built around two players. One player is out, and the other is injured even though he's playing. Imagine the Lakers with Shaq out and Kobe severely limited on the floor, and I think they might lose to the Bulls too. It's kind of cheap to be taking shots at a team missing its superstar and with its other star severely hobbled.

ZRB you are friggin mental dude. LOL Being a Rockets fan isn't about one player, or one game, or even 100 games. It's just about following the team and being a fan, win or lose. If you base your fandom on the performance of the team from game to game and call them scum out of spite because they play a couple of uninspired games then you don't understand what it is to be a fan of a team.

The Rocks were horrible tonight but they've been horrible before and they'll be horrible again. Enduring the horrible is as much a part of being a fan as cheering the exceptional. Deal with it! ;)

Its really simple as to why the Rockets are having trouble, there isn't much talent on this team. Now before some of you go on a trip with some diatribe saying I'm not a fan, thats BS. Moochie played well tonight, but who else stepped up, guess what this is the best the Rockets can do with what they have. We have seen that Glen Rice isn't the scorer we all thought he'd be, I personally think he has lost his shot and doubt that he'll regain it. Some people will point to the NY game, but I think it was a lucky night.

Rudy and CD are always talking about chemistry, but unfortunately the main ingredient is missing, with Francis this team can definitely win, but w/o him this is the kind of thing that happens (losing to the Bulls)

I've rooted for this team for as long as I can remember, and I'll continue to, but I will not watch a team give up in the second quarter, and consistently has its players drooping their heads after the opposing team scores. Chicago won because of hustle, bottom line. If the Rockets go out there with that intensity they can rival any team.

As for ZRB and his Fran Blinebury-like post, if you can't stand what you're seeing, change the channel, but please quit saying you'll stop being a fan, and all that other crap, the Rockets are hurt, they're not playing with desire, but it'll get better, cause it can't get any worse.

    Oh, that's rich, Tweak.

You are renouncing your fandom of the Rockets, will continue to post here while changing your favorite team to someone like the Sonics (who were BITTER, hated rivals for a long time...almost as bad as changing to the Jazz), and rooting AGAINST THE ROCKETS WHEN THE RAPTORS COME TO TOWN.

You are one hell of a specimen of a spineless fan who can't take a little mediocrity. If the entire city of Houston was composed of people like you, then there wouldn't BE a team, and there never would have been a championship Houston Rockets in '94 or '95.

Criticism is fine, but deciding to become a fan of another team over the Rockets because of this is ridiculous, and only goes to show that you were never a fan to begin with.

Have fun with your Sonics posts, I personally won't be paying attention to them anymore.

I have been a Rocket's fan for a very long time, and will be as long as I am around. But I am probably just as frustrated as ZRB is. Who can be a fan of this level of play. Back to back or not, the Bulls are the worst team in the league. We made Memphis look like the Celtics championship dynasty, and we made the Bulls look like Jordan was still playing. THE WORST TEAM IN THE LEAGUE BLEW US OFF THE COURT!!!! What TRUE FAN wouldn't be frustrated! We have found the bottom. Our only hope is that it can't get worse, or can it? Do we have any high school teams on our schedule?

I am not a bandwagoner. I'm not going to switch to a team that necessarily wins. I live in Seattle, and they have been steadily climbing up the ranks as one of my favorite teams. I can't help but like them while living here. As for Toronto, I want them to win only because of Hakeem.

All I want is for Hakeem to teach the current team a lesson or two. They should never have let him go. This team is gutless.

    Yeah this team is gutless....

We have Cat out there hobbling around on the court trying his best to contribute.

We have a Mo Taylor who was freaking crying when he found out he couldn't play this year.

We have Steve Francis who risks his health everytime he goes to hole or try to grab a board amongst the trees.

We have an Oscar Torres playing intense defense despite being down 20 in the 4th quarter.

We have Kevin Willis, a man that has worked harder than most NBA players at maintaining his body and is able to grab rebounds and an amazing rate for his age.

And we have a coach that has been asked to take time off because he works himself to death.

Almost every game we've been down in, we've fought hard to get back in it.

To say this team is gutless is a joke.

Go be a Sonics fan, they were really awesome back in the day...Denver Nuggets ring a bell?

You're pathetic. Go away ZRB, please.

Steve Francis and Mo Taylor weren't out there playing tonight. They aren't gutless.

You'd think that just maybe, the rest of the Rockets team would try to step it up against the 2-13 Bulls, and end their six game losing streak. You'd think that they would play their hardest, to compensate for the injuries. You'd think that they would try their best to recover from that supreme choke in New York. Well, you'd be thinking wrong. Let me spell it out for you:

Already hobbled by injuries and in desperate need of a win, the Rockets came out and put no effort into a 28 point loss to the once-worst team in the league.

They didn't lose by 3 or 4, they lost by 28! They are paid to entertain fans, and play good, hard basketball. They are incredibly rich men, and all they are asked to do is play with intensity. I don't enjoy rooting for players who give such pitiful effort. I can't believe that any sane fan could defend the Rockets for their performance tonight. THAT, is pathetic. What those overpaid street-ballers did tonight was indefensible.

And I haven't really switched teams YET. All I've done is stopped caring as much. I am in the process of switching. The Sonics and Raptors are climbing, while the Rockets are plumetting.

I hate to get involved in intra-bbs issues because I consider myself somewhat of an outsider, but I have to say something about this.

This is sad ZRB. It's way beyond lame and pathetic. If you can give up on your team because they lost a game that YOU didn't feel they should lose, then you never were really a fan deep down inside. You were just an interested spectator.

Fans don't give up on their teams and switch allegiances--never and no matter what. There might come a time when you disagree with the current management in place---or with some of the players on the roster and their ethic. You might stop supporting them with your dollars for a time. You might stop making all the sacrifices you once made in order to be able to see them play 4 nights out of a seven day week. But you never, EVER give up on your team, turn your back on them and cheer for someone else.

If you're so disgusted that you can't even wish and hope for for better times, then you should just go on quietly into the night and let us wonder about where you went, instead of making an annoucement like you did and making everyone happy to see you go.

Never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd say this, but...

I completely agree with gettinbranded. You don't just give up on your team. And if you switched teams, you wouldn't be the same as Swopa, NugzFanz, Nuggets4, highplainsdrifter, Blazers Gal, or even ole' GB himself, because you, my friend, would be a traitor.

How the hell could anyone cheer for the Sonics? Sheesh... what's the world coming too?

Settle down everyone, let's not forget we're missing our best player. Outside of Francis and Mobley, we are pretty damn mediocre. We're going to suck for a while. Live with it.

In the meantime, I suggest breaking out the classic "Clutch City" videos...

Not really. This forum - and I assume you mean the whole site in general - is more than a site for rockets fans. That's the reason clutch partitions the site into several categories. And the reason it is a such a fun place to visit. If you mean the transaction rockets forum specifically then more than zrb need to get lost. gettinbranded, [nuggetz] fan, blazergal and many others. To which, I think, this forum would be a very dull place to post.
