When Refs Make a Bad Call.

That said I do not think that calling someone the name of a crook is going to effect a refs psyche.

Make fun of his mother or something.

"HEY JOEY CRAWFORD! I BET YOUR MOM LOOKS LIKE A WALRUS AND SHINES HER TUSKS WITH YOUR BALD HEAD, FATTY FAT FAT!!"

^^^^ that's going to be my chant, sure to change the way he calls games.

 

I simply don't think any referee would give two craps if someone chanted Donaghy. I know I wouldn't.

I am pretty sure I had already made my point.

 

FBI, CIA, Stern is watching, Donaghy, etc. will ALL be fair game this season when heckling the refs.

 

It's good thing I don't spend my life trying to please everybody with people like you.

I'm sure you wouldn't approve with my underwear selection, either.

 

As a fan of the NBA, I'd rather just let the Donaghy thing be in the past. I guess it would be an ok chant if the refs made a horrible call at a crucial point of a big game, but I don't really trust the Rowdies to have that kind of restraint. My guess is we'd hear that chant at least once or twice a game, and the refs would get annoyed. And annoying the refs would defeat the purpose, which should be to get more calls for the Rockets.

 

any displeasure towards the refs (booing, heckling, etc.) would probably annoy them and not want to give calls in our favor, but we as fans have the right to voice our opinions in a reasonable manner.

 

but if they have already made 1 or 2 potentially game-changing bad calls( or no-calls) against the roxs, who cares at that point? If they haven't been fair up to that point, what is there to fear?
