Names out their Marty, Parcell, Cowher. My evaluation of Kubiak is he is a good coach, not a great one. Our GM does a great job of finding talent. Draft this year Okoye, Jacoby, Bennett. We're a running back, two safetys, cornerback, offensive tackle, one linebacker, one or maybe possible two guards, from being serious contender, but still need a great coach.
you just listed 8 of 22 positions that need an upgrade -- nearly 40% of your starting line-up -- into a "fire the coach" post. brill.
not to mention that all coaches run the 3-4. That would be fun, another defensive philosophy change in just two years.
I got a few more suggestions: Al Pacino - The way he got Jamie Foxx to put the team before himself was simply miraculous. He also handled that meddlesome owner Cameron Diaz very well. Gene Hackman - He got a bunch of REPLACEMENT players to play as at team. Imagine what he could do with actual NFL players...ok, so he would be coaching the Texans, but I still think he could do a great job. Henry Winkler - Sure, the Waterboy played well during the season, but it was his innovative play calling when the other team stalled in the Burbon Bowl that won them the game.
It won't happen but I would love to have Cower here, I'd even give him full control of the team if he wanted it.
When I say we need help at possilby eight positions. It could mean Charles Spencer healthy, Bennett development, Chris Taylor healthy, Studdard development, Frye development, Brandon Harrison or Brandon Mitchell, draft, free agents. It is even debatable if we need help at all eight spots, just no that they're not superstars. The thread is about a upgrade at coach, and a lot of top tier coaches are available.
