We should cut both Reed and Novak, and bring back JH!

I feel the same way about Novak. Im prepared to be bashed by the few Novak fans here in a sec.

here is my opportunity, hopefully, to get an answer on why the few think Novak is needed on this team, or any other?

All I'm saying is: Steve Novak better turn out to be at LEAST as good as Matt Bullard if these cuts are truly going to be worth it.

Les Alexander is eating millions of dollars by cutting both Jackie Butler and Justin Reed while keeping Novak. In fact, the Rockets will be paying Reed $1.5M in 2008-09, plus any luxury tax on that amount.

While I definitely would like to give Novak more time to develop, if I were Les I would have kept Reed and been a few million dollars better off for it.

This and Lucas were the only "no-brainers." I'm really disappointed we got rid of Harris, and I think that cutting Butler was a poor decision as well. What if Yao gets hurt and our 43 year old back up finally acts like he is 43.

If I were to make my cuts, it would have been Snyder, Reed, and Novak.

Novak will never be any thing in this league. He runs around lost all over the court. He's like a skinny Ryan Bowen who doesn't hustle and can shoot a little. (So basically he is nothing like Bowen except he looks weird, runs funny, and is white.)

Snyder remembers when he was Tracy Mcgrady back in Nevada. He tries way too hard and plays outside of his game. He has the talents but lacks the brain. I seriously think his head is empty and he works off the impulses of his spinal cord. I really hope we get rid of him somehow.

I say Reed because he was cut the first day of training camp, I have no idea why he is still around. And he smokes pot. Stay off drugs, kids.

Remember, both Butler and Reed were guys we HAD to take on because other teams wanted to get rid of them, whereas Novak, Landry and Snyder were guys we wanted to take on board in the first place. JL3 and Sura are no-brainers. So it all makes sense :).

Butler is acting he's 43 already, so he isnt much of a backup. If Yao's hurt, we can sign someone to a 10 day's contract, Butler belongs to that.

Novak is better than Rybo. Anybody than can shoot is better than Rybo in RA's system.

I would like to see we trade away Snyder and Novak for something and sign JH back with minimum.
