I post this with the disclaimer that I know nothing about the two groups who did the study, however it was on yahoo.com so I'm assuming that they have some semblance of credibility.

i guess they didnt consider fox news (or some people like to call faux news, or dont even consider it real news...)

cnn leans slightly towards the democrats. but they do have talk shows that lean towards the republicans also.

    fox news is blatantly republican.

cbs news is democrats answer to fox.

i dont watch abc or nbc.

bbc leans slightly towards the democrats.

reuters does a good job of being neutral.

nightly news w/ jim leher on pbs is neutral and very nformative. excellent!

I'll be honest, I agree with the assessment that Democrats get more face time, but I think there are good reasons for it (IMO, I'm not an expert by any means):

    - After Bush's terrible presidency, a lot of people probably consider a Democratic president to be an inevitability in 08. And really, it's pretty much their election to lose, even moreso than 04.
    - The diversity factor - the Democrats are running black, hispanic and female candidates, while Republicans are running the stereotypical "old white men." I bet a lot of the media coverage has to do with Obama being black or Clinton being female.

Again, both of these are my opinions and are not to be taken as gospel

I have seen more coverage of Democratic candidates. I think a lot of it has to do with them being the opposite party of the incumbant. They are the ones making accusations against the president, thus their campaigns have tie-ins to other news stories.

is this really a story. the two front runners for each party received negative press according to this article. of course hillary did, the biggest story on her has been the fund rasing scandal. rudy has the 9-11 worker beef.

Actually, Fox News was included (assuming this was the same study Michelle Malkin referenced). Fox News and MSNBC had more of their Republican coverage with positive spin, all other outlets covered favored Dems.
