Francis is just not effective unless he has the ball in his hands all the time and when he's out there, that's probly not gonna happen. Head has done a good job cutting away from the ball and has shot very well so I don't see why he shouldn't get a spot in the rotation.

i would say head before francis just to increase head's trade value for the future and for player development purposes since he's younger and has a big up-side

I tought Head would suck but damn he has improves. He played really good in the preseason. His jumper looked good, but what most important he improved a lot in his ballhandlin'.

That's why he's higher than Steve

Francis didn't come in ready for the competition, he just needs to get in shape and work on his jumper. That will get him on the court.

I personally think for this team to be successful, they're going to need francis to play well. I'm not talking the old steve, but an effective steve. When the playoffs start, some of those easy baskets you get during the playoffs don't happen and you need guys that can create, get to the rack and finish. On this team, there is tracy, bonzi, james, and francis. No one else can do it. when you play teams, you need break down guys and as well as luther is, we saw what happened when teams didn't leave him. now he can shoot when he's set, but sometimes you cant get all the way to the rack or shoot 3, its you'r inbetween game.I'm really surprised Alston is still on the team after the trades, signings and arrest this offseason.

Are we talking about who will be a better player in the 5 minutes a game our third string 2 will get?

    Just curious.

does anyone remember steve's last performance as a rocket. he played well, in the playoffs, probably some of the best ball he's ever played. didn't he have a triple double one game? he just needs to get in shape.

Head worked hard to improve in the off season, Steve took a long vacation..

obviously, Head is ahead of Steve

Luther was limited by JVG.His job once crossing half court was to get it in Jack's hands.Head has always had the ability to do more.Adelman, his system, and more experience are leading Luther right where he needs to be.He's great off the ball on offense and on D he can get in some point guards grills....Also he's adept at playing the passing lanes and giving help D.Sure Head got posted up in certain situations by bigger deuces last year, but now we have a deep, versatile team to cover what defeciencies he might have..As mentioned Luther is money fron three poiont land, esp. in clutch situations.
HEAD GETS HIS POINTS IN THE FLOW OF THE OFFENSE...and again, the guy can flat out shoot.Spreading the floor this year will help him finish as he has mad hops.AS nmentioned earlier his hoops IQ is very high...It's just that JVG had a dumbed down offense that didn't take advantage of his players strengths. The man shoots 44 % from beyond the arch and isn't a one trick pony.
We won't trade Luther and he will shine as a Rocket for a long time.

    ....VERY SOLID ROTATION PLAYER.

Steve will get more minutes when he gets in shape.

Situational minutes at the one and attacking the bucket at the 2.

His shot will improve when he gets his sealegs.

Right now he needs to shut up and work.

I gave Luther his props on his 4th Qtr shooting. But let's get real his D is worst than Francis and doesn't rebound no where near Francis. Trust me, I don't love Steve but I've no love for Luther et all

Yes, he was phenomenal in that play-off series. He was truly a 21/6/7 guys against a laker team with four hall of famers. And when he plays in the playoff, the turnovers are minimum if not none. Luther Head will never be half as good as SF3. And also the problem with Luther Head is, he play his best ball in the preseason, then okayly good during season, and sucks in the playoffs. Steve will suck in the preason, okay with lots of careless mistakes during the season, and his best ball in the playoff.

    I will let you choose.

For Head's next trick, he's going to show us how many ways he can dribble the ball off of his own foot and how many ways to make a bad pass through 5 defenders.

Luther has won quite a few games in the clutch over the last couple of years.. he's ok in my book. I don't think I remember too many times I have said "they need to pull his ass out" compared to others on the team. He also isn't a knucklehead and appears to be a good kid. Give him a chance to thrive in an offensive system.
