We're already fat by four players. We'd have cut Sura + four more to make room for him.

Actually, the Rockets do have their LLE. Last season, the Rockets split the MLE among Bonzi, V-Span, JLIII and Novak (very creative management, by the way, by CD and Morey).

Teams get to use the LLE once every two years. The Rockets used the LLE two years ago on Derek Anderson and haven't used it since.

If we do sign him it'll be hilarious. In the James for Alston trade, we get both. In the Howard and James trade we would get both again...damn we need to trade james and sign him again.

Yeah they just lost a pf in Walker too. Miami looks most likely.

Don't forget the Francis for T-Mac trade. :) If only Mobley and Cato come back...

I heard he wants a ring, and will go to one of Boston, Cleveland, Dallas, San Antonio, Miami and Phoenix.

Francis for Mobley straight up! Lol. I think he would fit this system much better.

Wow the Wolves are also cutting Wayne Simien. Let's go for him.

Simien would be a better pickup. His game has fewer negatives than Howard's.

Wasn't that the guy everyone wanted instead of Luther Head in the draft?

I don't think Howard is gonna come back to the rockets. I think that the Cavs, Celtics, or Heat are the most logical for him.

That says they wanted to get rid of James.

    Juwan for the vet's min.

Man, too many people want to join the rockets for nothing this offseason.

We should pick him back up. Juwan helped us win a lot of games last year while Yao was out of the lineup.

Boston is trying to improve their bench so they may get him but Phoenix has no depth up front, so they definitely could make a run at him. If he wants a ring Cleveland and Miami definitely isn't the answer, Miami already had their fun in the sun.

Good memory. I wanted this guy pretty bad too. That, or Hakim Warrick.

I'd sign him for the LLE if we really do have it.

    skip/MJ/AB
    Tmac/sf3/head
    Battier/bonzi/snyder
    Scola/Hayes/Landry
    Yao/Mutombo/JuHow

His role would definitely be reduced but he wouldn't care. It happened to him last year when hayes started over him and he helped out alot when Yao was out along with Mutombo. He'd be a nice mentor for scola and landry too. and i miss making fun of him stealing sunglasses. rockets should consider it.

    peace out novak.

I wouldn't mind signing him for the Vet Min...

    Houston: 12 Man Active Roster
    1) Rafer Alston / Mike James
    2) Tracy McGrady / Luther Head / Steve Francis
    3) Shane Battier / Bonzi Wells
    4) Luis Scola / Chuck Hayes / Juwan Howard
    5) Yao Ming / Dikembe Mutombo

D-League: Aaron Brooks, Carl Landry, Steve Novak
