I always wondered why people thought it was cool, witty, 'needed at the moment', etc, anyways. I passem up all the time, hell, I don't even look to see what the song is or a single lyric posted, it's just silly.
Exactly my point! These people think they look cool and impressive to the rest of us, when really they may as well be a douche bag wearing a bluetooth headset.
I have been guilty of doing this but it has been a LONG time since I have done that. Now as for the poster known as "thegary", well.... So, I just stick with having random song lyrics in my sig (I doubt anyone will guess what song and group those lyrics in my sig are from).
more so than signatures like this Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam heypartner Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam Kam
Yeah, I agree with this thread... Quoting lyrics is kind of lame. It reminds me of girls who you start to ignore after they show their crazy side and then they start sending you emails with lyrics from My Chemical Romance and Kelly Clarkson songs. Then they make sure to put the lyrics that personalize the song in bold. "Wow, you do have eyes that sort of look hazel, but I bet Kelly doesn't give her own relatives phantom-illnesses for the purpose of making you feel bad for not responding to her text messages."
I occasionally post about 5-or-so lines from a song, but I never post the lyrics to the entire song. When I see an entire song posted, I ignore it. It's r****ded.
Rock lyrics are the poetry of our time. Poetry is suppose to expound, illuminate and romanticize ideas and emotions; to elevate them above the mundane. Should we resign ourselves to only physical act of Nairing our nads or should we consider the innumerable nuances of of the denuding; the inadequacies of man in his natural state, the peculiarities of the acts of procreation, the length and breadth a man will go to to satisfy his salacious debauchery? Meh, I never read'em, and I have never understood what poets are trying to say. I would have never passed English Lit without Cliff Notes. If I put them in (and I did 1 this week) it's to pique people's interest in a piece of music, because the music is good. I've embedded songs in thread before using Pando.com but I don't think anybody else knows what it is. So I hereby propose that instead of cutting and pasting lyrics, everybody upload the song to Pando and embed the code so you get the music too. (the music is more important than they lyrics) Then you get a pertinent sound track to the reading of the thread. This song was in the thread about the airplane and the conveyor belt where the answer was , the wheels just turn faster...... hence:
