This years rockets personnel + JVG > than this years personnel + Rick Adelman

Bonzi would not be here with JVG.

I like JVG, but it's a bit early to write off Adelman.

 

he looked great in the first game. looked good in the 2nd. look average in the 3rd. look pathetic last time. looked average tonight.

again, we have to bring yao out somtimes just so tmac can operate b/c yao can bring his man out (one less big man in the paint can make it easier on tmac). but that also mixes it up.

but i prefer yao in the post 85-90% of the time. i don't mind the occasional 15ft jumper though

 

I think everyone should go have another beer and revisit this several weeks from now. Good grief.

I do agree. Its not that who is better, but whose systme is more effective at winning games. Clearly, JVG's system wins more game in the regular season. I think if the coaching situation is reversed, it would have been the best for us. Having Rick Adelman's offense in here first and JVG coming in and fixing the problems on the defensive end. This equals a championship.

If JVG was the head coach during the Jordan Bulls era he would have prevented them from winning even one championship.

I don't understand this love affair with Stumpy. He has never accomplished anything as a head coach and never will. He has been to the Finals once, and Adleman has been two times I believe.

 

Actually Rick Adelman has a .610 win percentage, JVG has a .575 regular season percentage.

 

Too bad, looks like every Rockets is ready except Yao, the most important players.

I love van gundy so it's hard for me to not jump on sam's side, but it's really too early to tell. the combination of preseason experimentation and just lackluster energy makes it hard to judge what the team is going to look like even just a few days from now.

i like having a good bonzi and i think the guards might benefit more from the additional space in the offense but i really, really dislike the way yao has been used so far.

adelman has a proven record of being a very good coach so i'll just wait and see.
