Please Adleman, Yao is not Vlade Divatz.

 

when yao is not in the game, we won't miss a beat b/c adelman's style fits like a glove with all our athletes.

but yao is one of the rare post players left. we have to use him.

 

Rough for SF that he didn't get in the game. I too would have thought he'd get in ahead of Snyder. I like them both - just not enough time to go around.

Interesting to see the cuts coming up.
And any possible trades - maybe?

 

Bonzi's effectiveness in this offense is what drives my optimism so high. He has had experience and success playing under Coach A's system. Can you imagine all our players finally in sync and gelling under such an effective offensive system just like Bonzi?

Are you suggesting Yao should forget what he learned during the last 4 years including his excellent free throws and become an outside player? NO WAY! Any guard is better than Yao outside. Why need Yao?

 

This Rockets minus Yao = First round exit again.

 

he didn't say we don't need yao. we just won't lose much when yao is on the bench and that's good.

 

I'm looking forward to TMac and Yao figuring it out.

For now, TMac and Yao ain't got it. Sort of looked like when the going got tough we got kinda stagnant and our starts went 1-1. and Mj did that too.

Although with Yao not alway on the low block there was more space to get to the rim, but we didn't really seem to get to the rim... and then there is all the Yao isn't Vlade sentiment - which is true. different accents

I agree, bonzi was great. and scola wasn't bad at all. team generally needs more chemistry. we've got potential - ...

 

Man james is selfish even when he's shots are off. Shooting all those contest shots or driving in when the lane is clogged. I saw scola set up deep in the post and james refused to pass to him, drives in, gets his shots blocked and lets spurs initiate a fast break.

 

Or play like Ralph Sampson?

question...why is no one mentioning our complete lack of defense when they were minus two starters and duncan and parker played 16 and 17 minutes

 

I wouldnt say so if theres only 9 assist.
our players hardly passed the ball efficiently, no motion, no movements. most of the time we were playing one on one and going for tough layups/jumpers(Damn You Snyder!)

the fact is, Bonzi and Head were the only two looked ok in this offense --- and you know how often Bonzi's 100% 3pt shooting happens.

This Rockets is no way near a princeton team at the moment, I believe Adelman has realised that and hopefully hes doing or at least trying to do something to it.

 

Adelman doesn't care about defense, that's how he lose his last job.

 

Yeah, that was driving me bat **** crazy tonight. The best excuse I can come up with is the following:

IT'S PRESEASON!

If this game was any indication of the defense that our opponents will meet during the regular season consider our beloved Rockets goners in terms of a Championship run.

 

I'm concerned with our defense or lack thereof and turnovers.

 

yes that's why quite a few of his teams are top 5 in defensive efficiency
