I'm always cautiously optimistic with stuff like this and it never seems to do any good, so I went ahead and voted to plan the parade.
There's no reason we can't be the best team if we play right. But I voted for WC loss. Such a tough conference... Spurs, Mavs, Suns, to a lesser extent Jazz... any of these teams including us could have a great run in the playoffs any given year lately. So WC loss seems like a good median between "raging fanboy" and "pessimistic hater"
I can't get giddy over any of our wins over the sub par competition to date. I think playing like we did tonight against better opponents will not help us win a series. It's scary putting your faith on a coach you know nothing about. But I hope he knows what he is doing with Yao because I want them to win it all really bad.
Spot on IMO. Anyone who says "plan the parade" is just saying it for the sake of trying to be a "loyal rockets fan" The dominant WC and the lack of experienced big game players we have on our roster will make it very hard for us to get to the NBA Finals. Im not saying its impossible but right now we are still behind the big 3.
Basketball fandom is emotional gambling. How much are you in for is the real question? Voted for the parade. That's the only option that make sense. Say, if someone (a rockets fan of course) selects 'stop at the first round'. And finally it comes true. In that case, should i say he's lucky? I don't think so.
