A friend of mine is getting married soon and we are having a bachelor party in Vegas...... It will not be so wild, just mostly gambling and good food and drink..... How much should I put on the Rockets to win it all? DD
sweet dadakota! I was there last month and can recommend you some good places to eat. I had brunch at Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill= excellent Buffet at the Wynn=excellent plus had lunch at the Mario Batalli place in the Venetian called San Marcos.
What you got? The Augustus Cafe in Caesars has the best Prime Rib sandwich I have ever tasted. I go there for at least 1 lunch every time I'm in Vegas.
I was there last month as well. Vegas, along with Cancun during Spring Break is probably the easiest place in the world to get laid. I reccomend hitting up the strip for buffets & immoral women.
For some odd reason it is full this weekend and we are staying at the Hard Rock Casino, anyone have any experiences there? We are eating at Smith and Welinsky's Friday night at 9pm.....crackling pork and steaks baby !! DD
I've never stayed there, but I love the casino. Great music playing constantly with a cool bar right in the middle of the floor. It's not as big as the others, but it's a fun place to be.
DaDakota that's my FAVORITE CASINO. The rooms are sweet as hell. The pool is the best in vegas (too bad its closed for the winter). Its a younger scene with people with girls in their 20s, however they like the older guys. Nobu is great. its the iron chef restuarant. Also, if you are hungry at the wee hours, Mr Lucky's there has a $7.77 steak/shrimp. mention the "GAMBLERS SPECIAL" The craps table is usually very good there. the dealers are cool. WAY BETTER than the overrated Palms.
You should find a place that offers lines on the Rockets to win the division and bet on that. If the lines i've seen are correct, that'll be a better bet, imo.
Hard Rock is a lot of fun. I stayed there a few years ago right after i turned 21. Along with the palms it's the young person vegas hang out. Only problem is that it's far away from the strip. They didn't have a poker room last time i was there either. That might have changed? But if tons of hot scantly clad 21-23 year old girls running are your thing then you can't beat it.
the palms is also far from the strip. The Hard Rock is a cheap 5 minute ride from the MGM. plus u get can a monorail pass for $7 and ride from the MGM all the way to the Sahara. I've stayed at both. The Palms has the publicity and some decent clubs, but the combination of great party place and casino, hands down the Hard Rock. you get treated very well by the dealers and staff at the Hard Rock. Great choice DaDakota.
Oh don't get me wrong i think the hard rock is great. Never stayed at the palms so i only know their reputation. My only point is that it's not walking distance to the strip.
I'm having my bachelor party in Las Vegas this March, I cant wait.. Let us know how it goes and any pointers you have after you get back would be great.. Have a good time DaDa!
Man, you're so lucky. My body is itching so bad right now for a game of craps. BTW, eat at the Luxor Buffet.
they fixed it up right? isn't called something else now? when r u in vegas? i'm looking for some decent craps players in january.
Try The Capital Grille. It's located in the Fashion Show Mall. Excellent filets!!! Definitely try the onion strings for an appetizer. http://www.thecapitalgrille.com/about/main.asp
I believe it's still called Luxor http://www.luxor.com/ I haven't been to 'Vegas for a year and half, so hopefully the buffet is still there. I'm looking to go to Vegas neat the end of December, after christmas.
