I'm in NYC and I started watching the Rockets because of Yao AND T-Mac. Together. Sure, I've come to know and love the rest of the team but I can't imagine liking only Yao or T-mac.

In the interest of full disclosure, I hate Kobe. He's a great player but a certified ass.

Yeah T-Mac will prove them wrong. It was T-Mac's team last year when Yao went down. Averaged like 30/6/6 in that one month.

I agree that both Tmac and Yao disappeared in that 7th game, and I am not quite sure how different it will be this year.

I remember hearing that both players were just physically drained at that point, and even though their hearts were in it, their bodies just weren't.

So this year, with all these blowouts we will surly have, Yao and Tmac should get lots of rest. Even if we end up with the same record as last year's, which was very good, we would have won a considerable amount of those games in blowouts.

How many times did we let bad teams sucker us into a grind it out game, forcing everyone to play 35+ minutes? Yes we won them, but it slowly took toll on our players.

Not to mention that even if our star players physically collapse in these tough games, we have players, who in the past, have come up big in crunch time:

    Steve
    Bonzi
    James
Even Head to a lesser extent (Which I would like to mention that I think, if given the playing time, he will be the most improved rocket on this team).

So yes I'm worried that the same thing could happen this year. We are all flesh and blood humans and there is only so much we can take. But I think with extra rest and with extra finishers on this team that we can survive it.
