I thought everyone got some on prom. It was about the only event I attended in high school, next to graduation. I had to get back early the next morning and I was still buzzing. Ours was "A night to remember" at moody gardens.
Our prom, I believe was at the Westin Galleria. I was there for about 10 or 20 minutes to the best of my memory; which is extremely blurry. It was a Mardi Gras theme. The only reason I know that is because we had pictures made and there were Mardi Gras masks in the pics. My eyes were rolled into the back of my head in the pics which makes them memorable. The parents must have been very proud. Went to Galveston afterwards. Also went to Galveston before the prom, which is part of the reason I barely remember it. I know I got laid and ate lots of disco buscuits. The date and I decided to get the ugly bumpin' out of the way as soon as we got to the room knowing we might be too loaded to later. Probably a good idea because I don't remember anything that happened between about 2:00 AM and 5:00 AM. Can't believe I lived through those years.
Thanks, d. I couldn't remember any of that. Sheesh. I went to one at the Galleria and one at the Convention Center, I think. I went in 88 and 89 due to the girlfriend being a year older. Wow. My back hurts...
I went, I think our theme was Journey Escape- Baytown Lee class of 1982 ....and my date was in Penthouse magazine a couple of years later & with another girl, in the original Madonna issue. I promise I had more fun than anyone else at our prom. DD
memorial 1994. Ours was at the museum too. I smoked a j in the lower floors of the museum of Natural Science that night. Mamories....
Went to my senior prom with my closest female friend. We tried to see if we liked each other romantically but there wasn't anything there. Can't remember the theme (it was in the spring of '91) and all we did was get our pictures made. We then left to go to Murfreesboro with several of her friends and their dates to eat at O'Charley's. I wouldn't call it a miserable time like some other people have, but it was pretty uneventful.
Broke up with my girlfriend a month before and everyone had dates at that point. Didn't end up going, did bad things somewhere else instead. My best friend went and he got really hammered and ate a disco biscuit before the prom, and when he and his date got into the elevator to go up to the ballroom, he threw up all over the biggest lineman in our school. All over his rented white tux. He was almost murdered
Went, it sucked, I was bored out of my mind, theme was Mardi Gras. Only stayed for about an hour. My girlfriend spent the whole time mad dogging other girls she was the jealous type and went to another school so she didn't know anyone, just made the whole thing uncomfortable. We took off to our hotel and took care of some biz and then went out to a bar, I was lucky enough to know a place downtown that served without checking ID's. Overall, it sucked
What high school did you go to? Clear Brook HS class of 2003 here. Mine was the same thing at the same place.
I've seen this term several times and I'm just wondering. In the 70s disco biscuits referred to Mandrex (downers). Does it mean the same in the 90s? Or would that be X? hey! I'm just tryin' to educate myself!
His loss. Why are you apologizing? Unless that was his gf in which case that's messed up. I hope you got it on with both at the same time.
Our prom was held at a Castle down in Aigle Switzerland. Nothing really special, pre party where students drank with teachers and administration. Ate some appetizers, then went to the ballroom etc of thecastle for the dancing etc. Was kind of lame. Damn I miss the ALPS.
went to galveston the day after......it was gay day at stewart beach. i needed a blindfold, and all i had was sunglasses.
I didn't really care about going to prom, but I figured it was something that you had to or regret later, so I went. The school wisely had a Sadie Hawkins dance a little bit before prom. That way guys knew who to ask. The girl who asked you to Sadie Hawkins was who you were supposed to ask to the prom. I was friends with a lot of different groups. I hadn't decided who I wanted to go with, but this one girl who I was friend with put it to me this way. She said, "Tara wants you to go prom with her, but Stephanie really wants you to go with her, and I think it would be more fun for you if you went with Stephanie. So Why don't you go with her." I didn't really care so I said that was fine with me. I went with Stephanie and my friends went with her friends, so we could all go as a big group. Nobody got anything. We met up with some more friends who had gotten us the booze, and that was next morning where we went to a friend's lake house. All the guys were already getting annoyed with our dates because of arguments over what music we listened to in our cars and at the lake house. Then at the lake house our friend's college age brother and his college age friends showed up. After that point, nothing but college age guys could hold our dates attention, but we didn't really care. We just took a boat out, and started going around Lake Conroe with out the girls. I think I was better friends with Tara, and might have had more fun with her, but it was an alright time. It wasn't worth all the hype and build up, and expense, but I figured that going in, so I wasn't too disappointed. We were only at the actual dance to our pictures taken, and for maybe two dances, then the dance was over.
