Morey built a reputation on how quickly and successfully he rebuilt our roster. If doesn't finish the job,in the same manner. it will indeed TAINT all that he has already completed.I for one will not hold him in such high regard if leaves us in a mess. I wonder if the additional starter he is looking at is from LA? :p

"plus potentially move 2 more in order to gain a starter (Morey is greedy, gotta love it). Les also doesn't want to pay the luxury tax."

Where would we need a starter??? Oh yeah Power Forward... I told you guys Rafer is gone!!!

These guys have money for a reason: because they don't lose it.

Wow. Seems like a positive guy. Then again when you work hard all summer on your game, and play very well, you should have a lot of confidence.

You get what you put in and he will find a spot on a team. I'm glad they released him early, giving him a chance to get with another team.

My sister saw him at the motor bank at Well's Fargo Downtown a while back, she was the teller.

We already know Morey is a wizard & I'm guessing they're looking at it from a cost + players + odds of a player being picked up elsewhere.

Feigen already looked at it like I'm talking about:
    http://blogs.chron.com/nba/2007/10/math_sucks_rockets_waive_mike.html
    Code:
    [Players] [CUTS1] [CUTS2] [CUTS3]
    - Sura* Sura Sura Sura
    - Butler* + Harris + Harris + Harris
    - Harris + Lucas + Snyder + Reed
    - Lucas* + Butler + Lucas + Novak
    - Novak* + Reed + Reed + Lucas
    - Reed* --------- --------- ---------
    - Snyder* = LT of $XXXm, = LT of $XXXm, = LT of $XXXm,
lack of size Backup at 4, Smallest LT,
    * = part/full  left at 4        bigger LT b/c   but lose some
    guarantee Snyder shooting skill

Ad nauseum. It's like the episode of Friends (no homo) "The One About the List" where Ross makes a list of positives/negatives.

I hope Morey is planning (and made it known) to resign Harris after the cuts are made. It is only a week's time so there is still a remote chance that he can be resigned.

I don't think Harris's salary adds much to the tax, although I admit, I am no expert in the ins/outs of the system.

I agree we need more depth at pf, Scola already almost rolled his ankle terribly.. luckily he was able to walk it off BUT what if he couldn't? We would be screwed in that position, thats what.

I love M. Harris as much as the next guy, but with Scola and Hayes then possibly Battier and Bonzi moving into the 4 when needed, the only time Mike will get to play is during the garbage minutes.

I just hope Mike goes to a team that can use him other than Dallas/Spurs/ or Suns.

Well, that's just the way the cookie crumbles. Too bad Harris couldn't stay. Maybe he'll be able to come back again...

Fuse, he mentioned Chicago a couple of times and spoke fondly of Dallas, which I think is due to Avery being there. Dallas minutes will be tough. Overall, I think he's going to wait on the Houston decision.

Feigan mentioned that since Mike is on waiver, teams can pick up his non-guaranteed contract from waiver... so even if he has a preference, maybe that's not relevant a thsi point? I think waiver priority goes in reverse order of records... so, if, say, Charlotte wants him, they can pick up his contract even if he prefers Chicago or Dallas (or Houston).

And you're basing this off of what? Athletic ability, offense...what? I like Harris too and I think he should be on the team but this statement is a little too strong. I know from watchin the games that Harris hasn't had to guard an opposing PF at all really. So who's to say that he's better than all these guys. There's more to basketball than athletic ability and offense.

The last place we all want harris to go is Dallas! Its seems to me mavs have good luck with rookies! J Howard, B Bass and maybe M Harris.
