that was oct of 2006..it was a good movie though Just saw "We Own the Night" good movie..it has Robert Duvall, he is a great actor. as for my favorites this year.. Knocked Up...Katherine Heigl is a hottie The Bourne Ultimatum
I've seen alot of movies this year but the only two that really stick out are the Bourne Ultimatum, Mr. Brooks, Reign over Me and SuperBad. I really enjoyed Mr. Brooks though. The first one hour of it was great, but then the writing and plot got kind of sloppy in the second hour. Reminded me a bit of American Psycho, which is my all time favourite picture. I saw the Lives of Others on dvd, and that was hands down the best movie I've seen all year, but I don't know what year it was made in. I also wanted to see Rocket Science, but they didn't screen it for too long.
Well, I saw those at the theatre but by myself. For some reason everyone around me was by themselves also. Mostly guys also. Weird.
I can't believe no one saw Death Sentence with Kevin Bacon That movie was great. The best one I have seen all year. Along with Superbad and Planet Terror.
i thought it was boring, then it got interesting in a pedaphile kind of way. i just didn't feel right watching the pageant.
Depends on if you go to the movies trying to feel enlightened or appreciate the artistic value, or you go to the movies to buy some popcorn and be entertained. It was an action movie. In the same way I enjoyed Transformers and Shoot Em up. There was little that had to be done in terms of story and character to make the movie enjoyable. With 300, I feel they focused on why the story is so well known - the battle. They could have added a little more character depth and tension pre-battle and extended the film by an hour, but I thought it was fine in its presented state. I think I still prefer Gladiator more, because the story and acting was so good, but 300 was simply the story of an epic battle, and they made it kick-ass. I got what I came for when I saw 300.
I thought it was bad, but saw it at home, no tin the theatre. And the overall reviews were pretty mixed. Rotten Tomatoes = 60%, which is right at their borderline between fresh and rotten. 80 of 200 reviews were negative.
