There was some talk a three years ago that the Rockets and Astro's would band together to create their own channel which would be in HD. But Fox came through before last season with a sweet enough deal that the Rockets signed on with Fox ...thusly killing the idea of a dedicated Rockets channel.

Maybe Dish was gonna do something on their own so I can't speak to that.

There definitely is an FSNHD channel on Dish. At least there was when I was in Houston in August so I don't understand why you can't get it.

It is on DISH. and it is 366.

Make sure you are able to recieve programming from the satellite at 129 orbital. also you need to $20 HD package.

Do a "check switch" and you will see what satellites you can get.

I am guessing you have 2 dishes?

one should be pointed at 110, 119, and 118 (probably international channels).

and 61.5 for your HD. but problem is FSNHD is on 129.
129 and 61.5 pretty much carry the same channels so tell them to come repoint that dish to 129 so you can get 129.

Ok after talking with tec support, they tell me that 61.5 and 129 both are same just different orbital location so depending on which satellite I’m getting the feed form my channel numbers might be different, the programming are all the same. So I do have some Alt HD channels around 400 maybe the game will be on one of those  . Anyways thanks.

For those interested, it's 302 on Comcast.

None of the preseason games are in HD (unless you count the last one that is on TNT).

ok now guys, help me out with this:

I just got Dish 2 days ago, and I cant freakin' find FSN Southwest (I am in Houston).. I could only watch the rockets game on channel 450 which is "ALT" (which I am assuming stands for Alternative) and the picture quality absolutely sux.. I am looking for regular digital channel, not the HD one.. can anyone help me with this?

on a side note, I have like 16 FSN's that are from all over the U.S (N.Y, Northwest...) it's just the Houston one that I cant find..
