I like how he's sporting an elbow band again. It looks pretty badass on him. I didn't even notice that he stopped wearing it last year. :D

There were conflicting reports on the Chinese websites.

Some said he wore Ante shoes in this game with Mavericks already.

And in a Wang Meng's article he said his Ante shoes won't be available until sometimes next week, and even if his Ante shoes will be ready next week, it will not be his signature shoes yet. His signature shoes is still in the design lab and will not available until the All Stars break. Ante had commissioned the international renowned Bill Peterson, the inventor of the Air Sole and designer of Air Force 1 and Air Jordan 1, to design his signature shoes.

Rare sight of the Yaos at this preseason game !! Ye Li and Big Yao's parent at the spectator stands......

And his parents left by half time....guess they probably knew they won't be seeing their son playing much in 2H.

If this is true then you don't know how to evaluate basketball at all. Both Landry and Novak were pretty good college basketball players. Sometimes that translates to the NBA and sometimes it doesn't. I think Landry has a better chance at being a "gem" than Novak.

what i did notice was Tmac wasnt wearing those Adidas TS shoes but rather his Tmac 6s.

really hope adidas later on releases the tmac 7 and the other signature shoes. its a nice little marketing gimmick for now but they'd make a whole lot more money with individual stars' shoes

I thought T-Mac looked even leaner and more agile than he did last season. He definitely shed a few pounds.

Yao - wow. If this is a taste of the Yao we can expect in the regular season, this guy is going to be flat out unstoppable. Draining 20 foot jumpers with ease like that, hook shots, spin moves, fadeaways, cutting for dunks, passing with ease out of double teams ... I like. I like a lot.

    I also loved
    - The chemistry between the starting five. They fit together so well -- they looked like a well oiled machine out there.
    - Shane Battier's new offensive game. Between Battier doing what he did yesterday, and SF3/Mike James penetrating and getting to the basket, it's easy to be confident that no matter what happens, this team will never be short of offensive go-to guys.

This is probably the biggest difference from last year. We went from a 2 man offense to where we can put a lineup out there that has 5 guys that could create their own shot or for others. No more focusing their defense on solely Yao and T-Mac. No more "Only 4 players scored in a playoff game". Offense will definitely not be a problem for us.

Defense on the other hand, could be much better. I know it's only preseason but I hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

Golden head: Rockets swingman Bonzi Wells had a large bandage on the top of his head to cover a gash he received from teammate Jackie Butler in practice.

"I didn't get stitches," Wells said. "They just put a little perma-bond on there to glue it back down. I got my tetanus shot. It was Jackie Butler, and he's got gold teeth, so I got some gold fragments in my head now."
so much for fightss on the team, you guys can rest now

There are lots of good college basketball players. There are maybe forty or fifty players on Landry and Novak's level at any given time. They can't all impress you. Or maybe you're just easily impressed.
