yea, I know, but it seems like the offense can run ok w/o T-mac in there... but without Yao startin the offense at the high post, it looks a little disorientated.

I think it is most likely due to his role on last year's team. He's too disicplined to play out of the system. Same goes to Yao.

Scola can run it too, but he's in foul trouble. Scola will probably play equal minutes at PF and backup C

    Battier's playing like he's 21 again.

I agree. That's why I thnk the post players are more important this year due to the system. We just have too many perimeter players that are good scoreres - so there isn't a huge drop off even if one is not playing well, but you notice the difference right away when Yao/Scola are off the court.

Four fouls and the ankle roll probably did the trick... seriously, Battier should be given some set plays... he obviously shoots the ball well down low and on transition

I agree. Under JVG, everyone has become too disciplined (predictable). They're all pieces in a system and they each have their specified roles. That's why we got torched in the playoffs. All teams have to do is to study a few tapes of our games and they can crack our system. Heck, our system is so predictable, people on this BBS can draw up defensive plays against us.

Players 6 through 10 gave up most of the 20 point lead against scrubs ...
