So how many hours do you work per week on average? Do you think that you are compensated well for it?

For comparison purposes, what field are you in?

If you could go back and pick a different career, would you?

I work 50-60 hours a week (just started my new company) and I feel I am well compensated for it.

Between working 50-60 hours a week, running your own company, being a father, being a husband, coaching a championship caliber soccer team, attending NBDL games in Austin, as well as RR Express games, posting 10 times a day here and watching all of Boki and V-Span's games, when do you sleep?

i typically work 60-65 hours per, including saturdays.... and i dont get paid nearly enough. not even close.

work as a project manager for my uncle's construction company; we do very high end custom homes in the uptown/memorial/river oaks area, averaging around $4-5 million a project. very nice perk of the job is the contacts i get to make, but like i said, i dont get paid nearly enough for the hours and stress i get put through.... oh, and the working every ******* saturday thing seriously hampers my social life.... again.

i really dont like my job, but it puts me in a position to make pretty good money later on down the road. i am seriously considering graduate and/or law school which will hopefully aide me in taking over my father's company, although i really want to spend some time at a large commercial RE brokerage firm since that is ultimate direction i would take it.

I just started a new job, but my old job was 40 hours a week. I rarely worked overtime and if I did it was only one or two hours extra. I worked at a help desk and was probably overpaid for what I did.

Probably more that 40 hours a week, and don't get paid overtime.

but before I went back to college, I was working 80-100hrs a week.

    200hrs+ paychecks (paid bi-weekly)

There are way too many people on here working 50+ hours. It's just not right. You need time for yourself.

(of course, with how much y'all post, I'm not convinced it's all work, so maybe not so bad... still, though, you're not with your family or non-work friends, and you're not pursuing other hobbies)

Myself, I'm in the lazy 0-30 category, but I'm also a full-time student. It's hard to calculate because a lot of my work is done at home, but I think I'm supposed to be equivalent to 25-30 hours.
