Conan's running out of steam and sometimes his shows center more on himself than his guests. He'll probably have to change a lot of his routine in order move to the tonight show.

I don't think his fanbase can stay up late enough to watch him.

But you see, Leno doesn't make Jaywalking funny, the idiots make it funny. He just repeats what they say in a skeptical tone. That's not talent, that's a natural reaction.

And headlines, Jay actually makes those less funny when he reads them. The props actually go to the interns that find the news. Again, Jay just reads them, he doesn't make them funny. It's like saying Jimmy Kimmel is a funny guy because of Unnecessary Censorship.

Kudos to the writers who came up with the segments.

Maybe because this thread is all about Leno? the article isn't about Letterman, nor is the title of the thread. Letterman isn't even on NBC....hence no concern to him.

I think Conan will end up getting "screwed" and Jay will stay at NBC. If Conan replaces Jay, then Jay will just go to another network like ABC and go head to head with Conan and would most likely win and that would leave Conan in third in the late night race and NBC isn't going to go from making money to losing money.

Conan has a $40 million dollar clause that kicks in if Jay doesn't retire, so financially Conan comes out ok if Leno stays.

Letterman could care less about any of this, he's making tons at CBS.

Kimmel could get screwed if Leno does go to ABC, because he'll go head to head against Conan and Dave, and Kimmel will get bumped back to later in the night.

I know it's uncool to say, but I think Conan is incredibly unfunny. I've never in my life watched someone try so hard to be funny and still fail so miserably. Letterman is great, and Craig Ferguson's monologues are funny, but unless one of the networks gets John Stewart, I can't imagine watch late night TV in 5 years.

My gf likes Jimmy I think. Not too much, but like "ohh he's thate cute guy from SNL, I like him" kinda like. I cannot stand him.

The only time I ever semi-liked---ok let me start over. The only time I ever semi-did-not-mind Jay was when he appeared in that one episode of Fresh Prince a long, long time ago.. in a galaxy far, far away. Even then Jay looks like an ass.

Anyone know how much the likes of Jay makes? Does he get paid like a milliom per episode or something?

I liked Jimmy Fallon when he played the jeep driver in the HBO series Band of Brothers.

Jay is the reason why i started watching late night talk shows back in 1995. Regardless of what happens to Jay going or staying; I rate the host as follows.

    Jay Leno
    David Letterman/conan
    Ferguson
    Carson daily
    jimmy kimmel

I like Leno. Letterman on the other hand is nearly impossible to watch. His character is dull, his interviews are the pits and Paul Schaffer's schtick is tired. Conan is okay. Some of his shows are hilarious, others are completely unwatchable.

Leno sucks...I can't wait for Conan to take his place.

Letterman is still the best out of all the late night people.
