ha! just told the bass player from Sprawl about this thread. Let's see if he posts now. He's a big rox fan, knows about this site, but for some reason i guess he thinks it too dweeby to hang out with us hopeless internet losers.

Sprawl was amazing. The closest thing I've come to a fifteen year time travel machine. I loved DeSchmog too, and I thought Toho Ehio was really good, even though I had never seen them before. The only difference between now and back in the day is that I have to take breaks between mosh pit appearances. Sprawl lives. :)

I remember going to a party or two at a place some of the guys lived -- I think they called it 'Spawl house' or something. It would be a blast to see them play again.

Yea...I was going to say...I only heard of this band from my friends back in the day. This type of music was never really my thing. It was bad enough I had to phase into the dance music with "New Order" from the rock n roll/heavy metal scene. That was quite a shock and I'm glad that is out of my system. I do recall some house parties near Rice campus that I never actually made it to which I guess a few of you went to. First thing I thought when I heard Sprawl was...welcome back to 1987-1989...years of the "X" and orange juice phenomenon. lol

Are there any recordings for sale of old Sprawl.

My favorite Houston band back in the day.

    Loved seeing them at Fitzgerald's.

There's some good pictures of the shows on the Sprawl myspace page. In this one, I'm the guy you can barely see in the lower right hand corner that is about to dive off the stage. Good times....

I saw you that night. You look really familiar, actually.
I posted a pic on their myspace page and they're using it for their profile picture!
