Arizona is the most boring team of all time. I'm having trouble even naming any of their players.

The Rockies are a bit more interesting. Ratings would have been higher if it were Rockies-Padres or Rockies-Dodgers.

I think there is more communication involved in basketball cause the players are so close to each other and not spread out. plus its a faster game, you have to communicate your teammates more often.

    Even Vspan spoke English.

Basketball produces more individual superstars than the other sports that are marketable. You don't see a ton of NFL players in commercials either.

For what it's worth, in cities other than Houston, baseball players have a lot of local commercials.

Oh, and my wife lives in Houston. She hates basketball. She can name Tracy McGrady and Yao on the Rockets. The only other player she knows is Tony Parker because of Eva Longoria.

you should poll non-baseball fans and ask them who's on the Rockies (the underdog this year).
and poll non-basketball fans and ask them who's on Cleveland Cavaliers (the underdog team last year)

Interesting fact -- the first game this season of the Rockies that was on national tv?

Game #163 -- the play-in game vs San Diego. No wonder no one can name any of their players.

Not a fair comparison. Lebron is the NBA's most marketable guy. Of course lots of people know him.

Poll them and ask them to name someone on the New Orleans Hornets or the Golden State Warriors.

well they didn't make the nba finals did they?
the Rockies made the World Series, surely they have some superstars right?

didn't they make a movie with Drew Barrymore about being a Red Sox fan?
where's the movie about the Rockies fan or the Astros fan?

they just so happen to be Celtics and Patriots fans, too. Very grating and annoying, if you're a football and basketball fan.

Are you kidding me? The Rockies and the Astros have nowhere near the fan base to market such a movie to, nor are they wrapped up in the type of storyline that the Red Sox had.

And the Rockies have some good players, but none are marketable superstars.

Who cares, tinman??? No one watched King James' debut!!! More people were watching SpongeBob! 6.7 6.7 6.7 6.7

Put up ratings numbers side by side over the past 5 years. It's not close. You can pretend your reality is actual reality....but....wait, that's exactly what you always do!!! Carry on!!! :D

I like how MadMax gets all Mad Max about baseball. its like someone in the stands heckling Max and Max heckling him back! you really are Mad Max!!

People in China (i was just there) don't know anyone on the Colorado Rockies, but there's LeBron talking to them! I don't see anyone from MLB hanging out in China!

LeBron:"yeah man, I don't know who's on the Rockies either..Have you seen my new sneaks? we make them here in China!"

That is amazing. I went to 2 games at MMP this year where the Stros were playing the Rocks and remember thinking that Denver baseball fans are going to have it great for the next few years. Lotta talented, young, respectful players.

    Wish it were the Stros.

I'm impartial to any of the playoff teams, but I had more interest in the Rockies-DBacks series than the Red Sox-Indians. Maybe just because I'm more familiar with the NL.

The DBacks were a very exciting team to watch this year.
