because they were actually shot in HD. stuff that isn't shot in 16:9 ratio but is stretched to fit gets all distorted and looks like crap.
NBA TV, Speed, some soccer channel, a college sports channel, and several regional Fox Sports Net channels. For whatever reason, NFL network is part of another package that includes the Game Show Network.
with att the fastest you can go is 6 mbps and with comcast you can go all the way up to 20 mbps since it comes with "powerboost" Comcast's internet is really good
lol!! The fastest I ever top out at is 3mbps with Comcrap, and that's VERY rare. The cable "boost" is nothing more than a sales gimmick, as it only lasts in very short bursts. My parents have U-Verse, the basic internet package, and it seems just as fast as my cable.
hmm that's weird i just tested my speed on www.speakeasy.net/speedtest and i clocked in at 13049 kbps= 13mbps download and 2045= 2mbps for upload and im on a laptop with wireless

your upload can't be right. that is low. i got Download Speed: 25140 kbps (3142.5 KB/sec transfer rate) Upload Speed: 2655 kbps (331.9 KB/sec transfer rate) i'm paying 112 dollars for cable + HD + dvr, phone, and internet. does att uverse come with phone? and internet? i called them, they said its not avaible, but next month - end of 2007, i should be able to.
Do you get premiums? u-Verse doesn't have phone yet, but I have both Cable, HD, premiums, and DSL. for about $100. Why do you ask if they have phone, if you already called and they said no? What service is that? Do you get premiums? I do. DSL @ 6mb download, 50 premium channels, 1HD-enabled DVR , 2 HD-enabled receivers, 30 HD channels, all for about $100 with http://www.att.com/details.
I had Starz but canceled... With ATT / Dish it looks good but what happens after all the offers expire and you are still under contract...like Free HD package for XX months ... Free premium channels for XX months ... after its not free anymore is it really that much cheaper?
I am not talking about ATT/Dish. Look at the URL I posted. I am talking about U-Verse, which is Fibre Cable to the Curb and not available everywhere like SBC/ATT Dish. It is a much faster feed, and it goes through the phone line along with DSL. It uses your standard COAX once it gets to your phonebox. HD looks soo-eet. It's 10.99/month after that, but I think it's worth it. I will have that. I am going

290, HA! Try maybe, just maybe around 100...at the moment I'm getting about twice as fast as dialup, whoo-hoo. After they came out and "fixed" the problem it got around 300-400...that was a beautiful day....that was only for a day. I'm leaning toward the Comcast blows opinion...my only complaints against Satellite were that it would go out during a rainstorm (don't know if that's myth or fact) but shoot, Comcast/TimeWarner would go out sometimes during hard rains...hell sometimes it would go out on a sunny day. If my high speed isn't fixed I'm seriously considering going to DSL...I'd imagine I could pay for a landline and the higher tier service for the same price I get roadrunner and would probably be faster. And I know what you mean about TBS...when the hell did they announce this change?! If I hadn't read this thread I'd be wondering where the hell the channel went!
I got switched too, TBS is 51 and 31 is FX now, wtf. I don't know if Discovery Channel has always been 29.
