wow thats really cheap. ive been looking for a mp3/video player. have any of you guys used the zune? how do you like it?

i travel a lot for work. i used to own a 4th gen ipod. its weird when i use an mp3 player without the click wheel.

i used to work at an office supply store and when the Zune came out it was like $300.
The main problem we first encountered was that not many people had it so the whole file sharing or something didn't work out so well. Also if i recall correctly quite a few of the people who received it as christmas presents ended up returning it soon after. Their complaint was that the actual product had mechanical problems...buttons didn't work, etc
Don't know if that helps...but yeah

the zune is awesome. i actually prefer it to the ipod because it displays the album cover really big when a song is playing and it's significantly sturdier. i've never had mine in a case and it still looks brand new despite repeated droppings/daily use.

sound quality/song organization is no different from an ipod.

i'd get the zune at 200 bucks, 89 is a steal.

I got my white Zune, $146 shipped/tax about a month ago off of woot, and love it

i was going to get the 4 gig new nano, but this was a steal for the same price for a 30 gig.

I love mine, the only setback I don't like about it, is the video codec support, only supports wmv/H.264/MP4. I also have a 40 gig iRiver and that supports divx which i have a crap load of vids on it and barely haven't hit 20 gigs on that.

The album art is phenomenal, and the Zune software d/ls them automatically for each song.

in the end I'd HIGHLY recommend it for the price

you can also update the the new firmware when the new zune comes out, so that you can get all the new features.

Isn't the one on Buy.com new, and the one on Woot a refurbished model?

I also prefer the brown one. Its a unique colour.

ordered them from woot.com, too bad fedex delivery men are idiots or something because they keep showing the track number as out for delivery to delivery exception even though i am here.

The biggest issue I read about was the forced DRM- has this been removed and/or is the Zune hackable to remove this?
