That was a great game. It would have been great even if Corpas hadn't blown the save. Valverde's pitch count killed him. He was gassed.
This is some pretty unbelievable stuff. These guys just don't know how to lose. Their closer blows a save and they still win, off an unlikely bases loaded walk. There's gotta be more ways to win a game, and I'm betting on the Rockies to find them all.
i'm just glad tonight's game is on FOX... I dont know how much longer I can listen to Tony Gwynn speak.. I dont know why, but his voice bothers me
yeah.... but geeze people complain about the NL being boring. this game is like watching doug davis pitch yesterday.
I listened to the first half on radio and tuned in on the tv around the 6th or 7th...it sounded exciting on the radio when the Sox hit back-to-back homers... its gone back and forth, extra innings...pretty exciting in my opinion, this 11th inning is getting abit out of hand... but at least we know who these players are, the only thing exciting about yesterday's game and the only recognizable name was one Willy Taveras
im assuming you are an astros fan since you know willy t... how can you know more about the AL than the league the astros play in? indians just blew it open... 13-6
seriously? david ortiz, manny ramirez, curt schilling and josh beckett, not to mention sabathia , carmona, and hafner vs. webb, helton, that rookie that rhymes with nowitzki, matsui, some other guys I've never heard of... the AL series has more recognizable starpower names, regardless of what league my favorite team plays in...
i know 85% of the players in the MLB but i was just asking how you could know the AL better than the NL... guess from ESPN/national media. it's tulowitzki, and holliday is the MVP he is just not a "nobody" he has been better than anyone on the red sox this year.
well now I know who holliday is... honestly, though, as an admitted casual baseball fan, the AL has the names that most people recognize across the country is all I'm saying...
lol anybody else think it's a mistake starting Owings over Webb? start webb tonight and you can start him for game 7.
what a devastating bloop hit for the Dbacks - Rockies take the lead 2-1 edit - wow things just piled on the D-backs this inning Holliday with a 3 run bomb to put the Rockies up 6-1
Seems like for the past few postseasons that the hottest team entering the playoffs have done the best. Cards last year and the Chi-Sox the year before. This year the Rockies just can't lose - everything they have done has worked.
Didn't the Cards nearly blow the division to us last season? They were anything but on a roll heading into the playoffs.
what's up with that song that gets played everywhere, anytime something exciting happens. it's just the same thing repeated over and over, colorado in particular abuses the crap out of it.
White Sox struggled down the stretch in 2005 as well, nearly blowing a 12 game lead with about 1 1/2 months to go. They played 0.500 baseball the last few months of the season.
