With the recent death of George Harrison and his death thread in this forum, I thought I would create a favourite Beatle poll (vote above) and give you the opportunity to share with us your favourite Beatle song(s) (reply below) Fav songs: (just to name a few) Savoy Truffle Within You, Without You Rain Fool on the Hill Sgt. Peppers (whole album) rH
I guess Paul and Ringo would have to be my favorites just becuase they seem pretty cool and nice (didn't know much about George and I don't like John) and being on the Simpson's can never hurt my perception of you. Favorite song I guess would be "Let It Be" and then since I'm more a fan of the earlier stuff "Twist and Shout" and "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" (f4p hopes those are from their earlier stuff).
Agh! I can't name just one! Day tripper Blackbird A Day in the Life Dear Prudence Happiness is a Warm Gun Here Comes the Sun I'll Follow the Sun I've Got A Feeling This Boy There's A Place Two of Us Within You, Without You
quick quiz, what was the first George Harrison song recorded by the Beatles? hint...not a trick question...you'll know the song.
It Won't Be Long Little Child Not a Second Time I am the Walrus Baby Your a Rich Man Tomorrow Never Knows In My Life Strawberry Fields Forever Revolution Don't Let Me Down Yer Blues
Several songs fit the bill for me including: She Loves You Please Please Me We Can Work It Out A Day in the Life Hello Goodbye Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band Twist and Shout The one Beatles song that I despise is The Ballad of John and Yoko...God, I hated that song.
I'm sure Ringo was a lot of people's favorite beatle until he sang on Sgt. Pepper... As for George, ya gotta love that solo career...inspired one of Weird Al's best (as well as most underrated) parodies... <i>This song is just six words long This song is just six words long This song is just six words long This song is just six words long Couldn't think of any lyrics No I never wrote the lyrics So I'll just sing any old lyrics That come to mind, child You really need woooooords A whole lot of rhymin' words You gotta write so many words (hmmmmm...) RIP George...
Probably Paul, though John and George are a close tie in second. As for songs: She's Leaving Home Fool on the Hill Blackbird Golden Slumber (actually, all of side 2 of Abbey Road) Tomorrow Never Knows Penny Lane I'll Be Back Here Comes the Sun Elanor Rigby Dear Prudence Strawberry Fields Paperback Writer
'Let It Be' is pretty much the only Beatles song that I like. I don't have a favorite member of the group.
