he thought i wouldnt be telling anybody , so he went on to say that a trade before the deadline would be sending Tmac/Bonzi/Scola/#1 2008 and 2010 and the rights for a player called Lior Eliyahu for Kobe/Vlad and the rights of Sun Yue..Then he went on to say that the rockets have allready contacted the lakers about it,and this trade is the most likely to happen..

    thats what I read there....
T-Mac,Bonzi,SCOLA,first round draft picks and Eliyahu for Kobe and Vladimir Radmanović is one duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuumb trade!
I would never do this, this makes both teams worse.
Lakers would be better and Rockets would be worse plain simple.
And BTW Lakers fans act like Kobe Bryant is Michael Jordan and they see T-Mac as "injury prone player that can leaves playoffs every time and lottery master"...
    LOL

Of course Kobe's better player than Tracy. We have to admit it. But I would never do that trade.

Kobe cannot play together, he feels like he's alone on the team. Well in LA he is the best player, Jackson told his players just to distibute the ball to Kobe. That's all. I think even Yao will get worse with Kobe.

On the other had Tracy is Tracy. He's great offensive player, he's superstar but he understands what basketball means. He knows it's team sport. And right now under RA and all these additions he has a really big chance to make a key year in his carrer

and what's our record w/o tmac even WITH yao?

yes, tmac's perception around the L is HORRIBLE. lakers fans think he sucks and all that and believe their team would be worse w/ tmac than with kobe. when in fact, the lakers played better WITHOUT kobe in a small sample w/ much better chemistry. but again, on the other hand, i've also talked to laker fans who are ready to just get rid of kobe for all his drama and making this "kobe lakers" rathern than LA lakers.

McGrady is the most valuable player in this team,no doubt about it.
I agree with you,and I would not 3 players for Kobe.Anyone else is avaible.
Those players are: Yao,Scola,McGrady himself so...
I know this is fun to talk about, but It's just daydreamin'...

if the lakers are willing to trade kobe for tmac straight up, the organization HAS to pull the trigger regardless of what happens after the trade.

and for the lakers, tmac is the ONLY superstar they will get. the other superstars are younger and thus their franchise won't part with them.

again if tmac gets traded, i feel bad for him b/c houston is a better situation for him in terms of win to solidify his greatness in the game. but on the flip side, he'll get his own offense again where he can do what kobe does and he'll be on ESPN every night again and regain all those "other" fans who disregard him b/c of his lack of fantasy scoring binges.

And those people you talk to represent the entire lakers fan base?

Lets be honest, if I buy a ticket for a lakers game I wanna see kobe bryant. So I dont know what lakers "fans" you talked to.

um i said "most" lakers fans want to keep kobe bryant. but there are some who don't anymore b/c of what had happened. i live in socal so when i go home from work, i listen to the laker station and u get like 2-3 calls who just say just be done w/ kobe already and let's start the rebuilding process. we're not winning w/ kobe anyways. that's just SOME so don't get me wrong. most laker fans would prefer kobe work it out w/ the lakers.

I really do not think Lakers' gonna trade Kobe. They'll keep him. He's everuthin in LAL and that would be just stupid to trade him.

I would be very upset if Tracy would be a Laker. Rockets are the best place for him, no doubt. I've always said Tracy was born for Houston :)

Basically I also think Scola and Francis are also un-touchable as they just signed a contract with a Chinese shoe maker-Anta, which Alex has share in it. If they leave Rockets, they don't have any advertising value in China. I don't think the shoe maker will be that stupid. This actually is good, I don't want any of them to get traded. So the choices for Kobe = Tmac + some others are getting limitted.

Francis and Scola are not untouchable...to me untouchable means that you wont trade them for anyone in the league. Yao is untouchable

lakers don't want to but they will anyways. kobe has 2 yrs left before he can opt out. lakers are NOT going to be competitive (and might not make the playoffs this yr considering the west) in the next 3-5 years since they have no trade assets. kobe will stay this year if the lakers don't plan to trade. but TRUST ME, if the lakers do not get better in terms of contending for a ring, kobe will say he WILL opt out in 2 yrs and the lakers HAVE to trade him by next offseason to get something back.

they don't have to trade him this year. kobe can do whatever he wants and he still has to be a laker. but by next offseason, if both parties still are not amenable, look for a trade. they have to get something back before kobe opts out.

When I was writtin' he wouldn't be traded I meant he won't be traded this offseason. He'll be a Laker this year and I'm also pretty sure he'll be traded next year. Right now Lakers have no chances to be a top team in the West. Really

    Would you do this trade?

    TMac + Scola for Kobe.

I'd have to really think this one over. I consider Scola untradeable along with Yao Ming.

It'd have to be TMac + any other player / picks besides Yao/Scola for Kobe.

well if u want kobe, u have to give up a lot. the lakers will probably trade kobe + another player (since kobe and tmac make the same amount) and the rockets have to give up tmac + a scola/shane battier or probably BOTH.

I'd give up Battier / TMac for Kobe. But I wouldn't give up Scola. He's the perfect PF for Yao Ming.

Do you think only about Yao? Man, that's about team.

But really, Lakers won't trade Bryant, not this year.

Spoken like a true TMac Only Fan.

When Jerry Buss states that he's willing to trade Kobe, what does that mean to you? Do you think Jerry was kidding? joking? You must think so because then you predict they'll keep him. and it would be "stupid" to trade him.

Of course you'd be upset, no, very upset if Tracy was traded to the Lakers. You say, Tracy was BORN for houston? Wow..even I a "Yao Only Fan" would never say something aburd like Yao was BORN for Houston.

Are you going to cry like your hero when T-Mac is traded one day?
